After voting to convict President Donald Trump in the Senate impeachment trial last week, the Republican Senate race has tightened.
A new poll from Mason-Dixon Polling and Strategy published in the Alabama Daily News on Wednesday shows former Attorney General Jeff Sessions narrowly leading current Democratic Sen. Doug Jones. The poll shows Sessions at 31 percent followed by former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville at 29 percent and Rep. Bradley Byrne at 17 percent on the Republican side.
The poll also showed Jones trailing Sessions, Tuberville and Byrne in hypothetical head-to-head match-ups.
In the hypothetical general election match-ups, Sessions beats Jones by 13 percentage points, while Tuberville and Byrne outpace Jones by 8 points and 9 points, respectively.
Looks like the Deep State and the MSM are going to clutter up things on the GOP side to keep them off of Jones for as long as possible.
How about neither?
We can’t run a younger, better, smarter, less sleepy man or lady for senator of Alabama?
Out of the entire state of Alabama the best the state can offer is Jeff Sessions?
Leave sleepy on the porch and nominate someone who is attentive, smart and won’t let the ‘rats run over our President with phony bullshiat investigations
No matter who the winner is the Dems and press will try to Bork/Kavanaugh/Moore him. I hope its not successful again.
I’m sure he was losing before he voted to remove DJT.
he’s a dead man, walking.
“The poll shows Sessions at 31 percent followed by former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville at 29 percent and Rep. Bradley Byrne at 17 percent on the Republican side”
Rather than wade through a horribly written, horribly coded and rendered, and incomplete blog post, here’s the poll it is attempting and failing to cover...

Spoiler alert, everyone beats Jones except Moore, who is in last place and doesn’t make the runoff anyway.
Yes, they will do that.
There’s been controversy here about Roy Moore. However, I think most would agree, that he was the target of a smear campaign, and that he wasn’t able to respond to the charges effectively, and that led to his defeat.
Yes, they will “Bork/Clarence Thomas/Brett Kavanaugh/Roy Moore” any Republican. Unfortunately this horse blank works often enough that they keep doing it.
Would the famous Alabama/Auburn rivalry cause Tuberville any problems? Would the Alabama fans be "Never Auburn" voters?
Jones HAD to know this would be coming, so now I'm curious what kind of "offer" he was given to vote to impeach.
“Unexpectedly”!
7 figure salary as a lobbyist, no doubt
Good. Jones is getting what he deserves.
“No matter who the winner is the Dems and press will try to Bork/Kavanaugh/Moore him. I hope its not successful again.”
So what? This is not a nomination to a position which needs Congressional approval, it is an election. The people of SC are choosing a Senator and the media can do nothing at all if as expected a Republican wins.
More like 20
Here's a perfect example ...
I challenge anyone here to find a single photo from a Roy Moore campaign appearance where the dude is actually SMILING.
“Jones HAD to know this would be coming, so now I’m curious what kind of “offer” he was given to vote to impeach.”
I think he knew he had no chance of re-election, so just intends to sail off to a cushy job with the MSM.
