The Justice Department said Friday it will not pursue criminal charges against former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, after a nearly two-year-long investigation into accusations brought by the agency's independent watchdog who found that he lacked "candor" when questioned about leaking to the media.
In a letter to McCabe attorney Michael Bromwich obtained by Fox News, Justice Department attorney J.P. Cooney said the investigation is now closed.

This is only for the weak-kneed IG report, not for the larger coup attempt. We’ve heard it all before.....wait for the next step....
Not surprising at all. Barr should be fired immediately.
They need to rename that POS joke of an agency...
nope, the President simply needs to fire the top 50% of every Federal agency without retirement benefits. Do this after the election of course.
This has nothing to do with Durham’s investigation. It’s related to the IG report.
AM will delete. Thx.
Lois Lerner REDUX !!!! Damn them all !!
That’s why Barr want on a national tantrum venting his grievances about our president front of the enemy... because he was trying to justify today’s McCabe’s walk! the fix was ALWAYS in! He was actually trying to blame the president for McCabe free pass!! BASTARD!!! POS BASTARD!!!
Don’t worry Barr will get them sooner or later. He learned a lot from Sessions.
Nothing’s gonna happen.
It’s not something I’m a little sure of.
I am shocked at how many Charlie Browns here still fall for Lucy’s trick.
“it takes times”
No it doesn’t. Mueller was having people arrested in no time.
“we’re better than that”
We’ll be “deader than that” too if we take that absurd “high road” every time
Logically thinking and all that.
Was the issue ever in doubt?
Yeah, fired... at least...
I’m old enough to remember when “lying to Congrift” would get a Trump ally 9 years in prison...
No justice, no United States.
Law fag here Before everyone runs off the deep end, recall that the OIG referral is ONLY in reference to an unauthorized leak to a media outlet. No other nexus of facts is involved.
McCabe likely remains under investigation otherwise as part of the general FBI Fisa abuse investigation. There could be a lot of reasons for the OIG investigation being dropped. First, it appears that the CIA is the ring leader of misinformation and coup attempt - perhaps it is best that McCabe maintain credibility as a possible witness in those investigations, rather than lose credibility as a witness by being the defendant in the OIG referral matter. It's hard to say.
Could also be that the OIG matter simply cannot be proved up at this point. If McCabe offered useful information, you want to protect his credibility for future testimony. All this to say, this news is only in reference to a leak to a media outlet - NOT the larger investigation re: FISA abuse.
Don't panic, girls.
I’ll file this in the folder labeled: “Will shock the conscience of the nation”-Hannity
...after I dust it off.
