Gilmour is more of what I call a naïve socialist who just sees it as a more fair system, he’s wrong, but I think he means well.
I cannot say the same for Waters.
Those tin horn petty dictators could not see themselves if you hit them in the face with a mirror.
Americas doing just fine dude...worry about your own rotten country, with rotten food...rotten weather...rotten water....and rotten teeth.
Interesting that Waters wrote the song Money , what a total hypocrite.
lol
Maybe even 15 years ago.
Now you’d just laugh :)
Time does a terrible thing..it makes you mature.
Ah, GnR were being bashed here the other day.
I’m just giving it back :)
Different generations all think their musics was great.
I’m a hard rock guy myself with an affinity for freestyle because we guineas loved it in the 80s.
But The Beatles are the band that spans space and time. Not an insane fan. But there’s just too many damn good songs to say otherwise.
Goodnight FRiend
“His Supporters Have Turned America into Hell”
Well, if I’ve had even a small part of making life “Hell” for these people, I’m more than OK with that.
LSD doesn’t damgae the brain. Booze does. Booze literally rots it out. I’ve seen so many people in AA who , although sober, they will readily tell you they know they’re not quite as mentally sharp as they once were before the disease progressed.
That song actually was inspired by
a political movement in UK to
work an extra half hour for no pay to support the nation/productivity.
Bruce Forsyth sang, “I’m Backing
Britain”.
https://youtu.be/uJRW5z0XHt0
The movement failed and the record
sold about 700 copies, it was said.
“Rubbish!,” exclaimed Paul who
went on to write (I’m) “Back In the USSR”.
In 2011 Gilmour’s son Charlie was seen
swinging from the Cenotaph memorial
and rioted as part of a protest
about cutting education funding. It
was argued he didn’t know what the Cenotaph was because “he grew up in
the country, without television”.
As Mark Steyn noted, “Hey teacher,
leave us kids a... loan.”
This downstream in life effect is why you don’t do drugs, kids.
“Ill never get what anyone sees in this band.”
It’s their sound...The Pink Floyd sound...You don’t have to “see” them or pay any mind to the lyrics, and don’t assume that Roger Waters is talking to you.

One does have to wonder what’s wrong with his brain. Too much LSD back in the day or just a typical anti-American/anti-Semite?
Supposedly, the Beatles wrote that song as a retort to the Beach Boy’s “California Girls”. They were obviously competing for popularity with the BB’s.
FO, Waters — you suck ass.
Punk Flood is up there in the top 10 of overrated bands.
And that right there is the problem..... Waters has no sense any more of what truth actually is. He is the complete manifestation of this Bible verse that that stands as the great warning for all those who reject Christ.....that God is patient and gives people time but eventually, that time runs out and they are turned over to Satan.
2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. p>
Additionally, the lyrics very very tongue in cheek and were meant to be a parody of Chuck Berry's "Back in the USA". The music obviously was an homage to Brian Wilson Also, it was a McCartney song. Does anyone seriously think Sir Paul wanted to be back in the USSR?
