President Trump could be the unlikely benefactor of Andrew Yang ending his White House bid — a new poll finding he is the second-most popular alternative among the Yang Gang.

Of the 200 Yang supporters surveyed in the hours after the businessman threw in the towel at Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, 11 percent of people said they would now support re-electing Trump, the Stanford University/Reality Check study obtained by The Post found.

Democrat socialist Bernie Sanders was still the preferred alternative with 33 percent of the disbanded “Yang Gang,” but the survey showed supporters of the zany tech entrepreneur were failing to coalesce around the field of Democratic candidates.

If Bernie dropped out we’d get a fair share of his voters too.

Saw a number of guys purporting to be former Yang supporters showing up at Reddit r/The_Donald in the last couple days. FWIW.

Hard to believe giving away numerous freebies and pandering to every minority segment in this country hasn’t given the DEMs at least 2/3rds of the voters.

Andrew Yang is one of those rare birds - a Democrat with a genuine sense of humor. I like his Math lapel pin he was wearing during the debate

I always thought there was some common ground between the Tea Party and the saner elements of Occupy Wall St. And I think a few Bernie supporters would feel, maybe not in a Pullman car but in the bar car of the Trump Train

Maybe a small percentage but the majority of Bernie supporters want Trump supporters in Gulags so they wont vote for Trump

Really? Is it because Trump too is in favor a free basic income and legalizing opioids?

Who knew?

“If Bernie dropped out we’d get a fair share of his voters too.”

Agree. There seems to be a LOT of people on The Donald (Reddit) who say they were Bernie voters, but now love Trump. They moved over when Bernie was screwed out of the nomination...but now they understand Trump, and LOVE HIM!

Yang was a decent guy. I wouldn’t vote for him, but he was funny and congenial, and he went out of his way not to insult people.

Fascinating.

Bernie was screwed. He seemed to be nice about it (got a free house), but he was nothing like Hillary was when she lost.

Yang actually was talking about the White working class directly and the problems they faced due to outsourcing and automation. That’s how he got his initial popularity, because he dared to address working class white people by name.

Unfortunately for him he got castigated for dog whistling to “Neo-Nazis” and he dropped that line of rhetoric. His solutions were obviously wrong, but he was appealing to people the Democratic Party openly despises.
