Even before most people were paying attention to the Democratic debates and primaries, I predicted on my Ayn Rand: Taking Liberty podcast with Scott Schiff that Bernie Sanders would win the Democratic nomination for president in 2020. The basis for my prediction was that in a flawed field, the Democrats would "test drive" each of their candidates as the frontrunner, disqualify each candidate for his obvious flaws, and settle on Bernie for several reasons. That is what is happening. Bernie has rocketed to the top of the Democratic field and seems poised to claim the Democratic nomination.
Bernie is the guy with whom Democratic voters are most comfortable deep in their hearts. He says all the things the others believe and that Democratic voters feel, but he says it all without dilution and without intellectual compromise. His intellectual consistency makes him the most comfortable candidate to the Democratic base — they know that when it comes to policy, Bernie will not embarrass and will not disappoint. When he speaks, Democrats nod their heads in agreement — even the ones who oppose him. That is a huge asset when running in a hotly contested primary.
Bernie is also the candidate with the most committed followers. His organization is second to none in the Democratic field. But while organization and intellectual consistency are important, they are not enough to win the nomination alone, as Ron Paul found out during his runs for the Republican nomination. The base of the electorate needs to be comfortable with the candidate in order for him to win the nomination. Republicans were never really comfortable with Ron Paul's foreign policy plans — but Democrats are deeply comfortable with every one of Bernie's policy positions.

Looking at the Presidential North Carolina primary ballot
there are 41 nominees on the ballot. They are from the
CST, DEM, GRE, LIB, GOP Parties.
Every nominee of either party in the modern era finished either first or second in New Hampshire.
There is a _reason_ for this.
New Hampshire is the retail primary, where each candidate has to go out and pitch to small groups of the public. New Hampshire voters discuss the candidates a lot with each other (behind closed doors) and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses far away from the mass media and the campaign spin doctors.
When you come in fourth or fifth in New Hampshire it means you are a terrible candidate—and this was determined by people who know you well.
Voters in other states pay attention.

I think it goes to a contested convention, and after a few ballots, a “white knight” will ride in to save the day.

If this were 2016, you could substitute the name "Donald Trump" for "Bernie" in the above title. That was the prevailing opinion of the left at the time. We cannot be complacent. We have to be determined to fight for every single vote in November. We cannot afford to make the same mistake that Democrats did in 2016 by taking things for granted.
Any other politician would be in the fetal position under the bed right now. Trump has had more examinations by proctologists than anyone ever and they can't even find a hemorrhoid.
Having said all this, does anyone believe America will stand if we don't repent? This is our chance to repent from sodomy and baby murder. We will have 4 more years before the hammer falls. Jesus said He would come back to judge the earth "As it was in the days of Noah and as it was in the days of Lot". The days of Noah speaks to corrupting God's created DNA to create chimera's. Editing DNA to something God didn't create caused Noah's Flood. Accepting sodomy as normal cause fire to fall on Sodom.
Good point. The Left has made great strides in the country, and continue to wreak havoc with great success.
That is precisely what clinched the Republican nomination for Trump. He said out loud, what almost every Republican voter was thinking. He saw a huge underserved market and simply stepped up with the exact message that would resonate with them.
Bernie is obviously doing something similar, and it's paying dividends.
Due to his age, Bernie wasn't going to be a problem in the next election anyway.
But ending the Bernie Bot takeover of the Democrat party? That's already a done deal. AOC is in, and Nancy the Dinosaur is out.
The next primary in 2024 will also feature a Communist nominee on the Democrat side.

I think you are right. Union members and leaders in Nevada are not impressed with Bernie’s single payer plan.
That will put an end to the Bernie bot takeover of the RAT party.
Then it will be back to business as usual stealth Communists, lies and never tell your true intentions. You know, what they have been doing the past 40 years.
With Bernie at the top of the ticket the House will be in jeopardy.

This is a well-thought out prediction... if made 3 months ago.
Currently it ignores the looming gigantic presence of the minimike billions.
I’m not saying minimike can beat bernie, what I am saying is this article doesn’t mention minimike and thus is behind the times.
The situation is fluid, not static.

And they have to debate their POLICIES, taxes, immigration, energy independence, low unemployment, most people working, ever, gummint run health care and the loss of private health insurance coverage by 180,000,000 free Americans.
And that's just to get started.
