A newly surfaced recording from a 2015 speech by Michael Bloomberg, in which the former three-term mayor of New York City gives a full-throated defense of the controversial policing procedure known as "stop and frisk," is threatening to undermine the 2020 presidential candidate's subsequent apologies for backing the policy and hurt his status with minority voters.
President Trump blasted his fellow New Yorker as the audio emerged, saying in a Tuesday morning tweet as the New Hampshire primary was getting underway: '"WOW, BLOOMBERG IS A TOTAL RACIST!" The tweet was later taken down, without explanation.

Once that little rich punk gets out in the field and starts shaking hands and standing on his soapbox it’ll be like internet dating. The advertising doesn’t exactly match the reality.
Bloomberg called the super predators, and Biden called them lying dog faces riding ponies.
“”””””’I don’t have a problem with “stop & frisk”. It worked well in the past on thugs of all flavors, getting illegal guns off the streets. “”””””””””””””
I agree but it won’t do him much good in getting any minorities to vote for him.
Bloomberg is a POS and hypocrite but that doesn’t mean I support letting thugs run loose.
Half the responses from the leftards on twitter are in his defense. My guess the D-party leaders will have a narrative out by noon today and by this evening it will have never been said or happened.
bttt
Identity politics destroying its own...
I’m luving it!!!!!!
Well, that’s just great.
Having ng been the subject of an illegal “stop and frisk”, at gun point by a state trooper and a county Sheriff’s deputy, I can assure you that the risk far outweighs any benefit.
Terry v Ohio, the case that defines such behavior allows for un-warranted stop and frisk tactics only when the officers involved can articulate reasonable suspicion that a crime was/is/will be committed and that the mere presence of a firearm is not cause for such action.
Stop and frisk some white grannies, just for the optics, and all will be well.
That's not racist. It's reality.
I’d want to know more before I judge “throwing them up against the wall...”.
So, if he uses it to help the Democrat general campaign, the Democrats are racist.
And we can make that charge stick.
What he said is correct.
This wont matter much now that Bloomberg is a Democrat. The media - if they cover the story at all - will say that Bloomberg has evolved.
Just look at Virginia Gov. Northam. Any Republican that had a yearbook like Northams would be on a corner selling apples right now. But Northam evolved. And Sen, Robert Byrd was actually a Klan Exalted Cyclops. But he evolved too.
Democrats interpret things backwards.
Bloomberg also had some very anti “me too” quotes to the effect that he said the woman should never be just believed, that she should have to produce overwhelming evidence for any claims of rape/sexual harassment and he fought tooth and nail against any such lawsuits filed against his company.
He has also been quoted saying something to the effect of how the stock market machine he invented was able to get women to suck his d***. Yes, he actually said it. Yes, he wasn’t at all subtle about it.
He has a lot of skeletons in the closet in addition to being an authoritarian and having the personality of a door knob. I can’t see him having any shot in a national election.
That’s the thing. When it comes to fighting for Independent voters, this message is not a bad one. But it may not help him in going for the nomination. But I am white, and my opinion here is not the relevant one. Black voters have to decide.
Wait, isn’t it unfair to use old tapes of democrats saying things?
Bloomberg once proposed gun control thinking that would work but it will not take illegal weapons out of the hands of shooters. The solution though is for good citizens of any race or color to be able to carry open, or concealed, FOR SELF PROTECTION and to protect others. That would be a proposal that could prevent many inner-city murders.
To get elected Bloomberg ought to talk about real soluions not politically correct "jazz" he really does not yet believe in.
