During a Monday morning phone conversation, the Virginia State Police public relations department did not rule out knocking doors to enforce a suppressor ban.
Breitbart News called the Virginia State Police and noted Democrats are passing legislation to ban various firearm accessories. We specifically mentioned the suppressor ban which is currently moving through the state legislature and asked if, Virginia State Police will go door-to-door to get those.
The public relations official did not respond with a direct answer yes or no on going door-to-door. Rather, she said, [No laws] have gone into effect, no laws have been formalized or finalized.
She said they do not, do the speculation because nothings been passed into formal law, but made clear that their job is to enforce and comply with the laws once they are on the books.

What happened to _ EX POST FACTO ?
Absolutely no plans to take them from violent criminals! They never planned to bother their constituents, the hardened career criminals. Their plan is to take guns from the non-violent people (us) and deliberately and intentionally leave them in the hands of violent criminals.
If they come to my door to confiscate weapons they can have all the lead I got.
Should the militia go door to door to root out & round up those officials found to be violating our Constitution?
That will create some great video for the 2021 election.
I know both of you have been paying attention to all of the simultaneous darkness encroaching every facet of the world, but I can’t help but notice a tremendous uptick since last month.
Mass incarcerations from germ spreaders and ‘non-complying’ 2nd amendment adherents could be on the menu.
Interesting times...
DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE: THE MILITARY HAS MASS QUARANTINE CAMPS SET UP IN THE U.S.

Or after anyone who files a NFA Trust with the state
So we’re talking about teams of officers doing complete property searches, in closets, under beds, in gun safes, in yards and barns, in vehicles, in holes in the ground?
First, is that constitutional?
Second, won’t that take massive man hours?
Third, won’t that result in shooting incidents?
“...Absolutely no plans to take them from violent criminals!...”
It never was, or is, about “crime”. It’s ALL about disarming the People so that the communist SOBs cannot be overthrown...or so they think. It’s all part of the communist agenda to overthrow the U.S.
Yup. World is dark and getting darker.
It’s Virginia. Virginia has a long history of door-to-door government snooping and meddling.
When I was a little kid in Virginia, I remember one year when the personal property tax assessors came to our neighborhood. The first few houses were inspected and the clipboard goons made a record of possessions (TVs, tables, estimate of clothing value, pots and pans, etc.) As this was going on, all kinds of stuff was going out the back doors to be absent when the inspectors came in with their search warrants and clipboards.
This was the event that made my parents leave Virginia. We had 2 TVs and Virginia wanted their taxes.
I don’t know if they still do this. It was 65 years ago.
I hope they’re prepared to confiscate oil filters as well.
No information — much less entry — will be given without a warrant — a site-specific/person-specific warrant signed by a judge.
Even the SC of PA told them to stop and destroy them.
They said no.
Cuidado you Communist Bass turds. Cuidado!
They will go door to door and confiscate suppressors because they are registered and therefore can be found.
You forgot to include: “It’s for the children”.
VA State Police will become Northam’s Gestapo.
From the article: The public relations official did not respond with a direct answer yes or no on going door-to-door. Rather, she said, [No laws] have gone into effect, no laws have been formalized or finalized.
I think this conversation is jumping to the conclusion that the police will be going door to door.
Does anyone really think the VA state cops will say they will be going door to door for a law that has yet to be enacted?
This is all supposition on what the cops did not say about a law not yet passed.
Now the answer to this is already posted by others, no, they will not go door to door. All they need is the federal records of who has them, get warrants, and go to those specific homes with known owners of a suppressor. But the cops are not stupid, they will first ask for voluntary surrender, then only go to homes that did not surrender.
Keep in mind I do not agree with any of this, as it directly opposes the 2nd A. But a little common sense is also necessary to prevent the hysteria.
