That interests me. I’ve tried without success to learn if any Africans or caucasians have gotten this virus.
I read somewhere they’re testing/watching around 500 in Africa, BUT, they didn’t say if they are asians or africans.

Many of our LCMS (Lutheran) missionaries are out. Many go home over the Lunar Holiday.
They can’t get back. Local churches are still online, but not much news.
The deaths are about .5% of the cases. But it may be an underestimate because the number of cases are growing so the deaths may be correlated to the number of cases we had two weeks ago.
I sure hope he is able to make a good living doing this. It looks exhausting.

It’s not if it is in India or anywhere else. This will spread worldwide and will run it’s course. The world has been beyond controlling the spread since early January, if not before. Limiting the number of people exposed is the only thing any country can do now.

I’ve got a Chinese friend who lives here in Nashville. She keeps sending me some of the most horrible stuff accusing the US of biowarfare.
She wasn’t aware Dr. Peng had a virology lab right in Wuhan and was studying Coronavirus.
She sent me one that claimed the Chinese military had dug up biohazard containers in the floor of the US consulate, and it had pictures of containers with dirt splattered on them.
So first I questioned the source. Then I pointed out that no US consulate is likely to have dirt floors. And then I found the biohazard containers picture using Google. And it was a stock picture but didn’t have the dirt splatter on it.
It’s one thing to wonder and speculate if it was biowarfare, but to actually generate rumors accusing a country of it, with fake pictures is pretty low. It doesn’t get much worse than that.
what did your friend do when she saw the stock pictures?

You should send her the link to the Chinese Spies who tried to steal virus from Canada that had a DR who specialized in Ebola/HIV/AIDS research....who recently died in Africa
You observation is skewered (not your fault) as we have seen videos coming out that say the doctors are being forced to list other reasons for deaths.
These messages are coming out in Mandarin which my wife speaks.
Said “The world is very dark. Dirty job.”
Then she sent me a picture of US miltary demonstrating new rifles and they cut the video right after they said “notice the gas chamber”.
So I told her to google “gas chamber defense rifle”. And pointed out that the purpose of the gas chamber is to drive the rifle action, that it’s not biowarfare.
She said something that wasn’t put together well about she “didn’t understand why they would use that demo. fear chinese” Whatever that means.
Then she sent me a video of people in New York City eating worms and insects.

NYTimes reporter in Wuhan says the government has requisitioned the hotel she’s in for a quarantine site.
Doubt the CCP would do that to a hotel used by foreign media unless they were desperate.
I think I saw an article debunking that too.
Turns out that the alleged Chinese spies in Canada had followed all the proper procedures to send that. Apparently had permission and were still working in China.
I’m not sure which one is true.
Hadn’t heard about the ebola guy.
Dr. Peng in Wuhan had published several papers on Coronaviruses. Appeared to be legitimate work inspired by SARS, also a coronavirus. But if not contracted from the wild, an accidental release from his lab is the second most likely scenario.
Thanks, RC. Trying to stay on top of this and keep an open mind. At the hospital where I work we have large signs asking if you’ve traveled abroad in last TWO months please go to information desk. Last week the sign said if you’ve traveled to China...
