I am sure most of you were like me over the last two weeks, having a sense that we may not hear Rush on the Golden EIB microphone again. Every day I tuned in with the hope he would be there. Today’s broadcast by Katherine was not the miracle I had hoped and prayed for but it is the ebb and flow of life.
Thank you Rush for the laughs, the friendship, the continuous education, your powerful love of country and the constitution and your being a truly great American. Thank you for being constant presence my entire adult life. I have been blessed and am forever grateful.
Godspeed Rush into your Maker’s loving arms as he welcomes you to your eternal home. I hope St Peter opened the pearly gates with the shows into music!
DITTO!
Thanks. It’s tough knowing what to say at times like this.
It’s like trying to come up with something prescient to say
when Reagan died.
Words fail...
Godspeed Rush Limbaugh. You inspired generations and made a difference that will endure for generations. Heartbroken but inspired.
That’s a very nice eulogy, Miss H. Tears in my eyes.
beautifully said. i was just talking to my sister yesterday saying that i hadn’t a good feeling about 2 weeks without Rush being at the EIB microphone, especially the way he had been talking the last months. he was so full of gratitude, love and faith - and treasuring waking up each morning to an extra day of life. today has been a day of reminiscing, evoking tears and smiles. how lucky we have been to have had our time together, especially the last year. Safe passage, Rush, to the land of eternal peace.
. . .
MEGA DITTOS Rush. Thank you for everything you have done for this country. Now it is our time to pick up the torch for our great country so your work will not go in vain. Love you and miss you dear friend.
I distinctly recall the day I first heard Rush on the radio.
I was sitting in my car in a parking lot, outside of a shopping mall in Laurel, Maryland, eating my lunch.
I became a fan; and later, my formerly apolitical husband - to whom I introduced Conservatism - became an even more fervent fan.
It’s been sad here today. I know several people who have been able to get through the craziness of the last few years - and especially the past one - due to the common sense and ‘grounded-ness’ of Rush.
In the days when we could always find him on the radio, we never really thought that someday, Rush wouldn’t be there anymore. He was a ‘force of Nature’, and even during the past year, with all he was going through, he was strong and no different from the past. As President Trump has said, ‘You wouldn’t know’ the extent of what Rush was going through, to hear his radio show over the past year.
R.I.P., Rush. You are an American Hero.
Amen
Thank you for these threads. I’m sure they made a difference.
Hugs, love, and prayers to you all. I am sure God heard our prayers. Rush, a God loving man. No doubt is in Glory with God. And has peace knowing now the full picture of things we only hope and glance.
Glory be to God.
Rush, thank you for the numerous hours of enlightening
conversation. Not only did you educate us, you lit our life’s paths and guided our journey. You will be missed, my friend. Now in the arms of our Loving Creator, may you rest in peace knowing you gave your best and touched oh so many lives. God’s Speed....
Kathryn, David and family may you find God’s comfort and the strength he provides. Thank you for sharing this remarkable man with the world. We will forever remember the contributions he made.
God Bless!
