AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies
In with the ping.

Just thinking back- does anyone remember how this ping list started for Rush’s show? A long time ago I remember sending the pings but I don’t know if it preceded me or not. I’ve been around here for a bit.
Hi, Nutmeg. Just tuned in to listen to Mark.
Thank you!
Bump!
I’m a cigar smoker but I only smoke about 6 cigars a year. I quit cigarette smoking in 1980, but cigars are relaxing. I used to smoke a pipe..but ConservaTeen doesn’t smoke...
I hope you never develop any of the bad stuff that comes from smoking. 6 a year doesn’t sound deadly if all those years before haven’t hurt you.
ConservaTeen is smart!
Today it's just surreal, and I got sad when I heard Rush's voice doing a commercial near the start of the show.
It's good that Mark replayed Rush's horrible announcement from yesterday. It was the right thing to do for Rush's listeners. I was so emotional immediately after Rush said "I've been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer" I pretty much missed the rest of what he said.
Heartfelt prayers -- every day now -- for Rush and Kathryn. Prayers for strength and healing...
Who is on after Rush on TIC?
Sorry I don’t, but Biggirl would probably remember, as she took over for another FReeper, and I started helping her w/ HTML and substitute posting, when needed, in 2012.
Did Rush ever say why he was growing a beard? If so, I must've missed it.
As baseball survived the passing of Babe Ruth, we will survived, too. I hope we do have younger conservative hosts on local shows (AM Tampa Bay on Rush’s station in Tampa/St Petersburg (WFLA) we have younger people who are moderates.
Todd is pretty good, but I prefer to listen to Howie Carr on WHYN 560 (Springfield, MA), conservative talk show host based in Boston. Or Sean Hannity on Sirius XM or online.
WTIC reruns Sean Hannity's radio show every night from 10:00 pm - 1:00 am. It's often preempted by Red Sox baseball during baseball season though.
We had fun years ago when Bush was President. I spent yesterday so down in the dumps.
Yeesh.... we don't need more "moderates" on radio. We need more Rush-like conservatives!
I came in late to the show because I was just busy around here. I’m tuned in now. At least I am enjoying the Iowa debacle. How America would be run if the commies took over!!
Had to cry just a little this morning about Rush. I’ve virtually lived with him for 30 years. Many would disagree here, but I find him the single best political commentator anywhere. He got a couple of things wrong, most notably saying Cankles wouldn’t run for the Senate in NY; but like he says he’s right 99% of the time.
NO ONE reads the Libs and DemoKKKrats as well as Rush. My heart and prayers go out that he can beat this thing.
I’m a little shocked that, as he has a big insurance policy and I’m sure a mandated annual physical, they didn’t pick up something sooner.
