There is NOTHING different between now and Saturday morning. This blowup is because of an unverified anonymous guess about what is in a book. The SAME lack of evidence runs throughout the entire case. It’s like someone says there’s a rumor and so we have to follow up on every rumor. Baloney.
You know the Dems had this “leak” planned well in advance...I think they set a trap for McConnell and he walked into it. Like many GOPers, he made the mistake of giving the Dems the benefit of the doubt and thinking they wanted to be honorable and legal.
All they want to do is get Trump out of office, and they’ll stop at nothing.
Every time the democRATS do something like this, I donate directly to the Trump campaign.
Anything is possible. I will go out on a limb and say he would.

The GOP wants our money and our votes, but not our principles and convictions. Nothing could be more obvious.
At this point, looks like Romney and Collins will vote for witnesses. The other 2 possibilities are Lamar Alexander (retiring, but a good friend of Mitch), and Murkowski (who has been trying to patch things up with Trump recently).
I think vote for witnesses may get 51-49 (against), or 50-50, which fails. But again, Mitch may have to make some last minute compromise.
Collins has tweeted interest in witness after Bolton leak.
Republicans always acting like gentlemen. They should have started at 10am.
No...the more time was splitting 2-12 hour days into 3-8 hour days.

None of them will want to anger GOP voters by convicting the President. It isn’t going to happen since it would be political suicide.
But a few GOP senators if they want, can drag the trial out for another week or so to appear “fair”.
