Title, release date revealed for Bolton memoir

Former national security adviser John Bolton's forthcoming memoir is titled "The Room Where It Happened" and is scheduled to be released March 17, according to a posting for the book that went live Sunday night.

The new details emerged hours after The New York Times reported a manuscript of the book contained details about an August exchange where President Trump told Bolton he would not lift a freeze on security aid for Ukraine until the country agreed to assist in investigations into his political rivals. The book's release could be affected if the White House attempts to block publication of certain aspects on the grounds that it contains classified material.

The New York Times reported Sunday evening that Bolton writes in the manuscript of "The Room Where It Happened" about an August meeting with Trump in which the president said he wanted to continue a freeze on nearly $400 million in security aid for Ukraine until the government there agreed to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and other Democrats.

The revelation in the book directly contradicts the White House's insistence that the president did not explicitly connect the security aid and investigations.

A lawyer for Bolton on Sunday accused White House officials of leaking details of the forthcoming book after it was submitted to the National Security Council's Records Management Division to review its contents for classified information on Dec. 30, a standard practice for former government officials writing books.

A lawyer for Bolton on Sunday accused White House officials of leaking details of the forthcoming book

Boltons' lawyer is blaming a White House leak to the New York Times.

Some leaks to the New York Times are more equal than others.

Because Trump would not acquiesce to ‘forever wars’, bolton will now take his shot at the King. And as with all the rest it will fail miserably.

I guess to preempt the book. Get potentially damaging info out of the way early.

That Bolton’s lawyers are kvetching is simply the cherry on top of the sundae.

If I had to guess, I would say this leak is from Team Trump to ensure that the Senate will vote to require witness testimony.
Once that bridge has been crossed we could see testimony from the Ukraine Ambassador and others who have a lot to hide in this whole thing.

The Democrats don’t want to hear from Bolton. They don’t really know what he will say.

What they’re doing is pounding the table.

The President is legally required to investigate corruption in countries to which we are planning to give taxpayer funded foreign aid.

Seems strange White House would leak. If true that Bolten write those things, it is probably another deep stater that leaked. Bolten seems thin skinned, I don’t trust him.

I once thought Bolton could add usefully you the administration. A very smart fellow. But he has to learn to deal with facts and not just suppositions.

Bolton offers a certain perspective, but Trump is the boss, and the boss won’t always agree, but still values the input.

Bolton couldn’t handle not being the boss.

And the aid was released because the president listened to his advisors. Lol. There are lots of things I want to do and even talk about doing, but I don’t do them because I can’t or shouldn’t. Big deal. No pressure was put on by the president. The aid was released with zero strings. Blah blah blah

Bolton is the king of Neocons...they love perpetual wars and the campaign cash which comes in from the military-industrial complex. President Eisenhower who was high ranking military general as well, warned the country to be wary of the M-I-complex.

I agree. The Dems will save Bolton to testify in a hastily called hearing sometime before the Congressional recess for the elections in November. We know the RATS and their Repuke Deep State allies have a bunch of OCTOBER SURPRISES coming up this election year! Count on it!

The sound you may have heard is the sphincter muscles slamming shut on the senators staying in DC instead of campaigning in Iowa. Burn Bernie burn.

Biden, Buttplug, and mini-Mike are on the loose, if the senate calls witnesses.

“The revelation in the book directly contradicts the White House’s insistence that the president did not explicitly connect the security aid and investigations.”

And the actual phone transcript of Trump’s call proves that the president did not explicitly connect the security aid and investigations, contradicting the unconfirmed “revelation”

They have tried hit pieces in one form or another for three years and they haven’t worked.

Trump is a Teflon candidate... all their sleaze just slides off.
