The FBI has restricted all the evidence obtained through the wiretapping of former Trump campaign staffer Carter Page.
Revealed in a Jan. 7 filing by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that was made public on Thursday, the government said the bureau chose to sequester all collection the FBI acquired pursuant to the Courts authorizations to grant a warrant and three extensions for the electronic surveillance of Page, a U.S. citizen who was suspected of acting as an agent of Russia but was never charged with any wrongdoing.
The filing, signed off by presiding FISA court Judge James Boasberg, further stated that the "sequester" would remain in place until the completion of a further review of the DOJ inspector general report on the Page FISA warrants and the "outcome of related investigations and any litigation."
"The government has not described what steps are involved in such sequestration or when it will be completed," Boasberg wrote. "It has, however, undertaken to 'provide an update to the court when the FBI completes the sequestration.'"
Boasberg's filing made headlines on Thursday for showing the Justice Department conceded that there was insufficient evidence to justify the last two of four orders covering the final several months of electronic surveillance of Page during the FBI's counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign. The initial order came in October 2016, and the electronic surveillance stretched into the summer of 2017 with a trio of extensions at three-month intervals. It remains unclear whether the Justice Department believes the first two orders targeting Page were similarly flawed.
"Todays unprecedented court filing represents another step on the road to recovery for Americas deeply damaged judicial system. I hope that this latest admission of guilt for these civil rights abuses by the Justice Department marks continued progress towards restoring justice and...

He could do something.
But, apparently, he isnt.
L
But, he wont.
You don’t know what you are posting about
There is no way for you to know what is being done
Correct. All we get are promises that justice is right around the corner. And then, nothing.
I know what hasnt been done. None of the coup plotters and traitors have been arrested. FISA has not been declassified and released, despite years of promises. After years of someone telling us what a great person FBI Director Wray is, that same person turns on a dime and now says he is a sleeper agent for the Deep State. And yet, nothing is done to remove him.
So tell me, what exactly is being done?
what hasn’t been done in your view is irrelevant nonsense
I can’t understand why you consider the president to be stupid, not operating on your intellectual level.
the cation will commence at a time and place f the DOJ choosing
The Dept of Injustice and the Federal Bureau of Injustice are not our friends.
What those simpletons really did was to:
EXPOSE CARTER PAGE AS AN INFORMANT TO THE CIA. THEY ARE LUCKY THE COUNTRY ON WHICH PAGE WAS INFORMING DID NOT HAVE HIM KILLED.
That’s how STUPIDLY our “INTELLIGENCE” agency behaved.
It pains me to think ill of them, but they must be purged or confidence will never be restored.
As PDJT would put it...Very Sad.
You havent been paying attention
The fact is derived from your post where you insert your conjecture ahead of that of the President’s action.
that is dogmatic as it gets
You spew the dogma well
I’m beginning to doubt Barr is even in control of the DOJ. I don’t believe the extent of The Resistance (TM) inside the executive branch has been revealed. Time will tell.
No it isn't. I believe the President wants justice, as we do. The Lord knows he has been persecuted more than any other President in history. Even exceeding Nixon and Lincoln.
We already know that many of those he placed in positions of authority turned out to be turncoat traitors: Bolton, Tillerson, McMasters. I could go on and on.
And now, even a guy whose goes by a letter of the alphabet between P and R turns his opinion around 180 degrees and says FBI Director Wray is in the same category (after years of singing his praises).
You want justice. I want justice. The President wants justice.
I don't think we're going to get justice.
Did you know that former Speaker Newt Gingrich said that 96% of the political donations of DOJ employees went to Hillary in 2016?
The entire institution is infested.
At most, the best we can hope for is for the DOJ and Barr to give us a few scalps - but Obama, Hillary, Soros, Feinstein, Pelosi, Schiff, Waters, Biden, Podesta, Jarrett - they will escape scot free.
I don't think he is (completely). I also think his instincts and background very strongly motivate him to protect "the institution" at all costs.
Look at Wray. He is finally forced to admit the FBI committed "mistakes" with FISA (whoopsie!) Wray then orders agents to view some Power Point slides, and voila! "Training complete - problem solved!"
If it was you or I in charge of DOJ, I would have fired Wray over this gross coverup and slap in the face of those the FBI wronged and for it's role in the attempted coup of a President.
But Barr did...
...nothing.
