Unless a heretofore hidden tape turns up, we'll never know for sure who is lying about the 2018 meeting between Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren in which she alleges he told her a woman couldn't beat President Trump.
But consider this: who's been sinking in the polls and needed to shake things up? Who leaked the alleged conversation to the media? And above all, who has an established reputation as a serial dissimulator on everything from being a Native American, to getting fired because she was pregnant, to sending her kids to public school? I mean, her nickname is Lieawatha, for gosh sakes!
But Joy Reid had a different line to peddle on her MSNBC show today. She assembled an all-woman panel from which nary a kind word was heard about Bernie. And the unkindest cuts came from "body-language expert" Janine Driver who said she thinks Warren was "telling the truth," and that "Bernie's lying."

I’ve noticed the same. They are taking Bernie down. I wonder if the reason is that they fear Bernie is a true believer in socialism as a form of government rather than socialism as a means to fleece the people while continuing to let the deep state run the country.

I agree. I think this is a classic Red/Brown conflict within the Left, just like Germany saw in the 1920s and early 30s. The Socialist Reds support the ideal of Bolshevism and want the utopia of workers’ control. The Fascist Browns push collectivism and a society for socialist workers but they really want Big Government and Big Business to team up and control the entire society from behind the scenes.
Warren is a Harvard Deep Stater and control freak. She’ll promise anything but she’s lying and only wants to control society. Bernie is true Socialist who would really try to perform magic and help people. He’s being pushed out.
The fix is in against Bernie again.

They are both viciously self-serving and untrustworthy wannabes. That said, it’s ironic that Reid is trying to call Bernie a liar, when Warren has been proven to be one.
I really don’t think Bernie had much of a choice but to acquiesce to Hillary. People don’t cross the Clintons.
