Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says Republicans could subpoena Hunter Biden to testify about his business dealings with a Ukrainian gas company if Democrats insist on having witnesses such as former National Security Adviser John Bolton testify at the Senate impeachment trial.
“We’ll be dealing with the witness issue at the appropriate time into the trial and I think it’s certainly appropriate to point out that both sides would want to call witnesses they wanted to hear from,” McConnell told reporters Tuesday when asked about GOP senators who want Biden, former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, to testify.
“When you get to that issue, I can’t imagine that only the witnesses that our Democratic colleagues would want to call would be called,” he said.
The GOP leader also noted “there is little or no sentiment in the Republican conference for a motion to dismiss” the articles of impeachment immediately, adding, “our members feel that we have an obligation to listen to the arguments.”

It's not up to him. Republicans can request Biden appear and the Democrats will question relevance. Chief Justice Roberts can, and probably would, then deny the request to call him. The matter then goes to the Senate for a vote an McConnell would need 51 votes to overturn the Roberts decision. Will he have them?

They wont..remember, different standards apply to commies..they will just say “Our testify is NOT necessary” and that will be the end of it
Here’s where we’re at:
1. Nancy thinks she’s peeled off a few Republican senators and so the Senate GOP cannot simply vote to dismiss.
2. Mitch counters with a threat to open up the Trump Impeachment Trial making it a 2-track affair with the 2nd track to essentially put the Deep State on trial.
This is high-stakes poker, people!
Yup. That’s what this is. An awesome, passive/aggressive way of saying “OK, if you want to call witnesses, (something you should have done in the House) then we’ll call witnesses. All of them.” I hope the Senate goes down every Democrat rabbit hole they find.
What is the point of having Hunter Biden come into the Senate and commit perjury?
The Senate can’t TRY Hunter Biden. The Senate can’t CONVICT Hunter Biden. The Senate can’t PUNISH Hunter Biden.
His testimony proves nothing, disproves nothing, and is of no value whatsoever.
Hunter Biden is not part of the Deep State.
Hunter Biden is not a witness to anything.

I don’t think either President Trump or Mitch McConnell cares whether it’s a full trial with witnesses or a quick dismissal - either way it is a sure win for the President and for the Republicans.
President Trump has reversed himself on this several times, and so have McConnel and Graham - they are probably messing with Pelosi and Schumer to get a reaction and expose how confused and weak their case is. Every time one of these ‘Rat leaders opens their mouth, they sputter pure nonsense - Trump and McConnell are just triggering them on purpose.
No Republican Senators, even Trump-hating Mitt Romney, want the Democrats to go unpunished for this disgusting partisan attack. Some may do some grandstanding about “getting to the bottom of this”, as with Kavanaugh, but ultimately, they will kick the living shit out of the Democrats.

He’s renting it at $14,000 per month. Hard to imagine that Hunter would lay out that kind of money for rent when he could be spending it on drugs.
Paul Pelosi Jr. should be paying a visit to congress as well.
I’m pretty sure I read Paul has worked with Hunter on some of these Ukraine deals. You want real top tier entertainment?

But putting these folks under oath wouldn’t matter. And all we would hear anyhow are a bunch of “I don’t recall” or “I plead the 5th”
