An altercation over a mans refusal to remove a Make America Great Again hat triggered a recent active shooter scare at a Pennsylvania mall, police said.
The altercation started outside when a man confronted another man wearing the hat in support of President Donald Trump outside the Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 30, authorities said Tuesday. The man threatened to assault the Trump supporter if he did not remove his hat, and then tried to knock it off his head.
Police say the man wearing the hat then pulled a gun out and pointed it at the ground, prompting the other man to flee the scene.

“”””””’I’m not afraid to comment. I’m not afraid to pro forma disparage a leftist.
The patriot was well within his rights and the law to brandish (and more) in response to assault. “”””””””””
I took the carry class in Minnesota about a month ago. They said it could be illegal to brandish a gun, knife, baseball bat or anything that could be considered a weapon.
The law seemed confusing to me but I would brandish and stop a possible assault and worry about the consequences later.
Back when would he have been told to remove his 0bama logo hat?
Apparently not being willing to whip it out in response to a person shouting at you means you're not joining the team.
I'd like to know more about what the numb-nuts who started the confrontation was doing before MAGA pulled it out.
“I took the carry class in Minnesota about a month ago. They said it could be illegal...”
What the stinking Hell? Take a course on supporting a comrade.
Well, seems it worked out just like it should have.
If he was threatened, he had every right to pull his weapon out.
Good for him.
Apparent something else.
Exactly right!
And this should be a reason to allow concealed carry into the mall.
I’m 66, and in very good shape. I do not posses nearly the speed and strength I did half a lifetime ago.
If physically threatened I will always attempt to retreat to give myself all consideration in the eyes of the law.
However.......I cannot run away as, well, I cannot outrun most people & never could. I will not take a beating or heaven forbid, worse.
I can understand why this gentleman brandished his weapon as it stopped an assault dead in its track directed at him.
I would acquit if on a jury.
BTW - Here in Florida if you harm a senior (over 65) another 5 years is tacked on your sentence.
Now, if he advanced, or tried to make physical contact, that's another matter.
Given the leftard moron’s threats and actions, that’s exactly the way the incident should have played out.

How dare he refuse to remove that hat?
/s
We need to be careful about Leftists and free Hat, theyre already dangerous enough to babies without them demanding Hat be freed. /obscure reference
Lucky he wasn't in your house.
The mall is not a house, and who takes their cap off in a mall?
I wear my MAGA cap to certain malls, and I carry, but I would never pull my pistol and aim it at the ground.
If it comes out, I fear for my life, and then I want my lawyer.
I am telling you what I learned in class. Have you ever taken the class in Minnesota?
Minnesota also does not have a castle doctrine law. If someone busts down my door I am supposed to jump out a window if I can.
The man threatened to assault the Trump supporter if he did not remove his hat, and then tried to knock it off his head
Ok, then he’s cool. Glad the law was OK with it.
According to the report the man was confronted, threatened and then assaulted when a mental case attempted to knock the hat off his head. All of this was unprovoked. Based on the report, that man had every right to protect/defend himself.
So of course the story focuses on the Trump guy, not the attacker/bully/coward.
So that basically means that a person who can't defend himself with his fists had better stay home, because no other equalizer is allowed.
I guess "Minnesota nice" is supposed to be enough to see you through.
