UNGN, can you tell the airlines and destinations of flights shortly before and shortly after this crashed flight?

Yes. Even if you don’t know the reg number, if you know the airline, you can look up the fleet, find the airplane at Tehran, check the flight. If it doesn’t show the airplane moving on the map anymore or the speed/altitude, and the last transmission is at 8.000 ft/275 mph, houston, there could be a problem.
When I saw the video, it appeared that there was a white light that looked like a missile heading upward, and then there was an orange flash when it hit the plane. Then the plane plunges and crashes to the ground.
No, I was thinking of DIFFERENT flights from the one that crashed. Flights that left shortly before the doomed flight and shortly after. The possibility always exists of MISTAKEN IDENTITY if something nefarious happened.
Who would be flying out of there now? Wouldn’t almost everyone know better?

They opened the airspace back up at 6 am local time. Have no idea why. Apparently they didn’t get the word out to everyone
Doesn’t the whole area (Middle East/Europe) know there are missiles flying around? So a flight is delayed? Why risk it?

It is just a regular -800 (CFM56 powered) and not a LEAP powered MAX.
Actually, that may not be right. Someone posted a pic on Twitter of the airspace being empty, but now it looks like other flights were taking off. So, I don’t know

The doomed Ukrainian flight was scheduled to depart at 5:15 am but was delayed to 6:12 am. The closest scheduled takeoff to that time was Turkish Airlines Flight 899 with a scheduled departure (to Istanbul) of 6:20 am. That Istanbul flight was of course immediately cancelled upon the crash of the Ukrainian plane.
This information may be totally irrelevant but is good to know. Wonder who all was manifested on the Turkish flight. If the Ukrainian plane was sot down, it might not have been the target.
I think the restrictions were for American carriers and those people probably had permission to fly out and no doubt wanted to GET out before we rained down hell on Iran. They didn’t count on a missile taking the plane down....and that clearly is what looks like happened. To me, anyway.
