Iranian retaliation begins with missile attack on Iraqi airbase

Initial reports stated that 9 rockets hit the Ain al-Assad airbase on Tuesday. The base hosts American soldiers.
Heavy missile attacks were carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps on the Ain al-Assad air base in Iraq that hosts both Iraqi and US soldiers on Tuesday night. Nine missiles hit the airbase, according to Al-Hadath.

I cannot see Trump passing on this to use as justification to permanently remove the Iranian Nuclear Weapons Program.

I do know back in the 1980s, they’d scare us with WWIII simulations where Iran was the start of everything.
We were doing simulations on that scenario in the mid and late 1960’s with Iran being the lynch pin.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was briefed on the attack during a meeting with Democrats on Tuesday, according to CNN. Rep. Debbie Dingell stated that Pelosi told members of the meeting, “pray.”
I think the Trump Doctrine of blood for blood, no blood for no blood means we don’t respond much.
Unless an American got hurt, in which case we will respond in an overwhelming way.
Or, if there are no casualTies, could mean Iran has horrible missiles and military.

Iran leaders know they are done. The question is how much of their country is destroyed in the process. We won’t need ground troops but we must not allow those leaders responsible to escape the damage.
This is a dictatorship. It was badly shaken by the liquidation of its key figure. They aren’t invulnerable.
