By TZVI JOFFRE JANUARY 8, 2020 01:21
Initial reports stated that 9 rockets hit the Ain al-Assad airbase on Tuesday. The base hosts American soldiers.
Heavy missile attacks were carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps on the Ain al-Assad air base in Iraq that hosts both Iraqi and US soldiers on Tuesday night. Nine missiles hit the airbase, according to Al-Hadath.

Damned if they do and damned if they dont. We should use this as a pretext to after their nuclear facilities.
Iran threatens to attack inside America if US responds to missile attacks
*********
A cruise missile into every single Iranian oil refinery, every military storage and repair depot and personal home of every Iranian police station in every major city.
Then the message “keep running your sumps, we’re just warming up.”
The following statement is attributed to @ChiefPentSpox: At approximately 1730 EST on Jan. 7, Iran launched at least a dozen ballistic missiles against U.S. military & coalition forces in Iraq.
It is clear that these missiles were launched from Iran & targeted at least two Iraqi military bases hosting U.S. military & coalition personnel at Al-Assad & Irbil.
We are working on initial battle damage assessments.
In recent days & in response to Iranian threats & actions, the DoD has taken all appropriate measures to safeguard our personnel & partners. These bases have been on high alert due to indications that the Iranian regime planned to attack our forces & interests in the region.
As we evaluate the situation & our response, we will take all necessary measures to protect & defend U.S. personnel, partners, & allies in the region.
Due to the dynamic nature of the situation, we will continue to provide updates as they become available.
I cannot see Trump passing on this to use as justification to permanently remove the Iranian Nuclear Weapons Program. Seeing No US casualties is irrelevant. Iran attacked from their soil and i see him taking this and solving a 50 year problem. Once Iran is defanged i think well fold our cards and retire. The Mullahs opened the door and I believe he will use that to maximize the outcome for American Security.

Thus, it... starts.
I am concerned as to what the Dems gave to the Iranians over the last few months.
If the Persians haven’t scuttle the strait of Hormuz it’s all bluster? Cue the crisis actors and talking heads.
Sunrise in Iraq is in 1 hour 45 minutes from now.
so how many US and Alied bases have been targeted in Iraq
So, ballistic or cruise? Nuke or no?
Whoops, there goes a bunch of ree-fineries!*
sung to the tune of "Whoops, there goes another rubber tree plant"
We'll see how the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps gets around on donkeys...
We dont have US bases in Iraq, we have personnel in their bases.
“Maybe they used regional missiles ... “
Certainly a valid point :-) ... still, if they’re looking to keep their people, um, “happy” (i.e. pacified), a show of a massive amount of rockets being fired off would be all they need. They can make up whatever stories they want about their effect seeing that their media is pretty much like our mainstream media :-) .
Once you throw missiles into the mix, you are looking to do more substantive damage and your enemy isn’t going to not take notice.
I think the best strategy is to get the Iranians sick of this regime out into the streets and in a position to revolt. If we would have had a sane leader in 2009 (I think it was 2009), Iran might not be a problem today. However, it was pretty clear that our dear leader back then was more sympathetic to the “plight” of the Mullahs.
If the result of this skirmish is the decapitation of the Iranian power structure, Trump is going to look brilliant since Iranians will take charge and, more than likely, institute a pro-West government with no loss of American lives.
I’m just speculating/discussing of course. I am no expert on these matters.
BTW, thanks for all of your posts on FR over the years :-) ... I look forward to many more :-).
Cruisin for a Bruisin.
There is no hope for them if they do.
