Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Hossein Salami said Tuesday that Iran is seeking revenge against the U.S. that “will be hard, firm, regrettable, decisive and complete.”

The major general was speaking at the funeral of Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani, semi-official domestic news agency IRNA reports.

Soleimani, from what I understand is not a military general. He was trained as a military man and has no right to bear the title “General.”

Soleimani was the commander of a 20,000 strong militia group called the QUD. I would equate Soleimani to Himmler the commander of Hitler’s Gestapo; Che Guevara who had a QUD-like force in Cuba specializing in the art of painful death.

Please don’t call Soleimani a military general.
