CBS News just broke in. Amongst other things David Martin, their Pentagon reporter compared it to if Iran had killed the Sec’y of State, or the Defense Sec’y and basically said Iran would treat this as an “act of war”, although Martin did admit that Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of 100s of Americans.
The reporterette said if true this marks a significant escalation and could be considered “going to war”. She then asked Martin if this was something President Trump would have been directly involved in.
They are clearly not happy about this turn of events. No smiles, no “we got the bastard”. Perhaps this action can be added to the articles of impeachment.
