Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said the United States was sending about 750 additional troops to the Middle East after Tuesday’s attack on the embassy.
“This deployment is an appropriate and precautionary action taken in response to increased threat levels against U.S. personnel and facilities, such as we witnessed in Baghdad today,” he said in a statement. “The United States will protect our people and interests anywhere they are found around the world.”
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said late Tuesday on Fox News that there were no plans to evacuate the embassy or pull out any of the 5,000 troops in Iraq.
“The embassy is being monitored. It’s safe. The actions that we took today were prudent. Under President Trump’s direction, our team worked together today to quickly, decisively, prudently take the appropriate responses to keep our American people safe,” Pompeo said during an appearance on CBS.

For the record, I was only 15 when Iraq broke out, but I knew even then we were scrwed when they called it "Operation: Iraqi Freedom"
We should have called it "Operation: Burn Down your house and Sh*t on your couch because we are Star-Spangled Mother ******rs and that's how we roll".

I'm glad this Embassy thing was resolved. Unfortunately, the Mullahs will keep testing our resolve.

“Trump’s Benghazi”

Iran will keep pushing until there is no other option but war which is what they fervently desire.
I think the “Benghazi” coverage from our MSM was the play by the Iranians. It is pretty easy to predict the response by our media who are focused on anything they can needle Trump with.
However, the Iranians made a major error in the timing of their “protests.” They chose a time when most of our media was off from work as were their masters in the DNC who were unavailable to provide the talking points we hear the MSM parrot over and over.
Had they done this next week it would have been much more effective as our media would have been able to hysterically spin the event into a major catastrophe for Trump.
I believe that also due to their fatalist belief about some Imman crawling out of some well. They are insane enough to push us to their extinction. That's why I say attack their nuke facilities, yesterday. While we're at it, take out King John Um's facilities. With a barrage of bunker-busters and cruise missles and tactical nukes, Fatboy wouldn't unleash his armor installations on Seoul, and probably being eating his fingernails down to the bone in his bunker.

Where were the Iraqi troops?
A Marine Corps veteran told me about what he saw when the enemy attacked the American airbase at Da Nang. He said that U.S. helicopters lifted off and hovered while the door gunners rained hot lead on the Viet Cong below. I hope they have some armed helicopters at the American embassy.
Rubber Sabot rounds are no joke. They leave a long lasting welt under your skin the size of a golf ball. They can blind you. If you catch one in the junk, your not walking anytime soon. Really fun to skip them off the ground into people’s mid section.
