New York is in a State of Decline.
Despite the nations longest economic expansion, the Empire State is actually losing population, an analysis of US Census data released Monday reveals.
The total state population as of mid-2019 was 19,453,561 a drop of 76,790, or 0.4 percent, from the previous year, according to the study by the Empire Center for Public Policy.
New York was one of only 10 states to suffer a total population decline in 2018-19 its fourth consecutive annual decrease after five years of growth, and the largest population drop of any state.
Only West Virginia, Alaska and Illinois saw their populations fall at a faster percentage clip.

This is what happens when you have a dip shit mayor and governor.
Is the West Virginia decline due to overdose?
Ironically, moving away from people who vote just like themselves.
Then when the tax bills roll in, wonder what happened.
Not very bright.
Arnold was a dipshit CA Governor, These two in New York are mentally ill Leftist Activists with power.
and let us not forget the Assembly and State Senators! They are in their world and to them MONEY talks. Nothing else! It is a shame. This state was looked up to like California was a one time, but not any more!
Doesn’t say much for the other loser states then, does it? I suppose some states will now have to try to get laws passed about moving out of that state. It would be hard to enforce, though.
Some states already have exit taxes.
Austin’s population just hit 2 MILLION in 2019. Can’t wait to see the 2020 Census results. Our little town is 6041 people. We do not want or need more people here. We want to be out in the boonies, we can drive into town IF we want to. Our little towns out here are growing so fast. We do not like nor do we want more people from California OR NY. It is a chilly 31 degrees this morning, but if you meet anyone wanting to move to Texas please tell them it is always hot humid, and terrible mosquitoes and snakes here! Tell them it is so hot all the time and we don’t have AC! We don’t want them!
We area getting some new commercial areas here.

Leander already has the HEB Center, a huge concert/sports hall. Saw Moody Blues there. Super great concert and super great venue.
And Cedar Park is growing like crazy. Really too fast.
Fox news reported on this just this morning. cali and illnoise are in the same boat. What a shocker right? Problem is, alot of these refugees are coming to my part of the country.
Not to worry, the Dems will make it ILLEGAL to leave NY unless you leave ALL your money...............
And also ROUND ROCK Texas

Typical Leftist response...blame someone else even when you're in charge. Hey, Stupid, federal laws affect other states, too, but they're doing just fine. SALT affects higher incomes in other states, too. Kinda looks like it's your state laws that are causing the problem.
Why the surprise when they have a talking turd as NYC Mayor and the definition of stupidity as Gov?
Rule One of the Multiverse: Liberals & Progressives ruin EVERYTHING they touch.
Rule Two of the Multiverse: Guillotines cure liberalism and progressivism.
Rule Three of the Multiverse: The Second Amendment allows construction of the guillotines.
So, New Yorkers, get out those saws and begin construction.
Oh, forgot, the talking ani restrict your guns.
CA would be worse, but the influx of illegal aliens keeps it down.
They need to start executing drug traffickers in WV; that is one state where legislation like that could be passed.
Cuomo’s the guy who told conservatives to get the hell outta NYS.
They’re taking him up on it.
The SALT cap doesn’t seem to be hurting NH any.
