We cancelled our membership once we discovered Netflix is showing a Christmas movie about a gay Jesus. I will not pay a company good money to insult my faith

Inbred, homeskooled on the set, self-important people who hate the movie goers in Fly Over Country... keep on making movies for AOC and her merry band of miscretes and of course nobody will come.

Disney has pulled much of its own library from Netflix, and that of 20th Century Fox. Netflix is losing the “Friends” catalogue in a matter of days, and it paid a massive $100 million to retain the rights to “The Office,” its most popular show, for just one more year.

This will be the future of streaming television as consumers ditch cable.

First, it was only Netflix. Then it was Neflix and Amazon. Then Hulu came along. Youtube, Disney+... It won't be long before a multitude of streaming services replace the multitude of cable channels that people are paying for. Eventually, several streaming services will be available in "packages" just like cable channels are today.

Everybody complains they want a la cart viewing yet most don't realize they will not be able to see much of what they want due to high prices.

The economy of scale makes getting hundreds of channels possible for a somewhat decent price while having to pay twenty separate companies twenty different monthly fees will cost more.

HAHA! Yeah, that one was crap, but I watched the whole thing because there wasn’t all that much of that kind of stuff out there, and I was younger and willing to put up with crap a little more, especially if I paid to rent it. ;)

When it’s all free, my wife and I have learned to simply switch off the crap and either watch something else or do something else.

i.e. it may have been better than Battlefield Earth, but I’ll never know. :D

Comcast offers access to a number of those premium streaming services through the set top box, as well as tubi, Pluto, etc.

I have absolutely no use for Netflix. I tried to join it years ago, but they never had the movies that I wanted. So I gave it up.

I used to be a member of Amazon, but I gave it up. They're not getting a penny from me anymore

‘Hollywood is in the remake business. Nothing original in years.’

publishing houses are the same way; how many James Patterson books do we need...? gotta put the blame where it belongs, on consumer mentality...

I think Netflix will likely evolve into not only doing more originals, but also as a streaming service for a lot of foreign-made TV shows and films.

Even though it was possible to get 99 channels in a package that cost 39 dollars, most of those channels were 33% commercials. CNN and MSNBC couldn’t make any money off cable fees competing with ESPN and USA network without massive commercials funding their ability to make money. Packaging streaming services will cause a lot of commercials to be injected into the streaming services.

I tried to watch it on SyFy, maybe it was the SciFi Channel at the time. May have made it to the first commercial break.

I think I saw it listed on Flix or the low-end Epix channels the past month.

It starts out with a vignette that is horribly produced (bad video TAPE and sound), but the entire show is not produced that way.

richard jewell will soon be added to the list unfortunately. Eastwood makes movies for low cost and maybe it won’t be such big loser.
