Special Operator 1st Class Corey Scott, a medic in the platoon, told the investigators: You could tell he was perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving. Such dire descriptions of Gallagher, who had eight combat deployments and sometimes went by the nickname Blade, are in marked contrast to Trumps portrayal of him at a recent political rally in Florida as one of our great fighters.

War means fightin' and fightin' means killin'.
- Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest
You could tell he was perfectly OK with killing anybody that was moving.
SPJNK........................
I’m reminded of the woman in the movie Apocalypse Now that tosses a hat with a grenade in it into a Huey. I suspect that with someone like Eddie around she may have met with less success.
WTH? Combat solders should be as described. Yeah let’s pass out flowers to our enemies and see how that goes.
The left is not satisfied unless they can completely destroy their target. This is from the NYT. I think the writers of the NYT should be summarily executed for treason as they have committed it almost continuously since 2016.
Oh cool, the medic wants to talk about war and tactics.
Please, do continue...
Ok he was perfectly ok with killing ANYBODY that was moving.
Now let’s examine reality. Did he kill the soldier quoted, any other Americans or even our Muslim allies?
Was he accused of killing any civilian?
Didn’t another soldier confess at the trial to the murder in question? Yes.
The president made his decision. Are we really supposed to judge the president for helping a SEAL because the NYT wants to prove the SEAL was a bad guy?
Scott is in the wrong line of work. He would see and say the same thing working in any ER in Chicago, Philly, Baltimore.
Good point. Have to consider the source and their motivation.
We send these men to kill jihadis and then when they kill jihadis, some want to prosecute them for it.
Medic.
“Anguished” seals? Anguished? What?
Eddie is obviously the type of SEAL that Trump prefers - one that will KEEP AMERICA GREAT!
Don't be ridiculous. You left out singing choruses of Kumbaya.
I get that the Chief was toxic to team morale. I get that he was blood thirsty. I get that some frogs have claimed he killed innocents. I get that he became toxic within the teams. I get it. The problem is that the SEALs have become Sea Rangers (hat tip to Travis Mcgee/Matt Bracken) and not a special operations unit. They take down airports instead of the Army Rangers. They get embedded into regular troop units. They get assign mundane chores. They simple no longer represent special operations. Much of that the SEALs used to do can now be done with precision munitions and specialized surveillance systems. Instead of finding unique and specialized missions, the SEALs have been assigned regular troop tasks.
Toss in that the SEALs have been receiving far less adult supervision, and you have a toxic environment that the Chief simply took advantage of.
“Ok he was perfectly ok with killing ANYBODY that was moving.” Uh, doc, you were moving and still are so........... Is doc a nobody in that case? Thanks for your service anyway.
Since 1961 at least. NYTs alerted Castro to the Bay of pigs invasion.
What the hell??
I just do not see an individual who earned the title and trident of a Navy SEAL as being the kind of warrior that would be described as being “anguished”.
Not buying it.
5 Fast Facts something stinks at the NYT.
