I had one bite me in the arse when I was 12. I was standing on a half broken rock dam, actually up to me knees in water, and fishing for sun fish in a lily pad pool. Was a really good spot—small, so not fished much there. Some pumpkinseeds were as big as a large man’s hand.

Anyway I leaned my backside up to the broken rock wall, and there laid Mr. Snapper awaiting my skinny butt. He actually got the end of my cutoffs rather than any flesh but scared me half to death.

I went up and off that damn with him hanging on for at least 100 yards!

My friends Dad (who owned the property killed it and made turtle soup.

A much bigger worry of mine is the number of GOP House members retiring.

An editorialist pointed out yesterday that those retiring members had no incentive to vote against impeachment but they did anyway.

But Pencil Neck Shitt blew that to smithereens.

True, but Nadler had all the means to rein him in. The Republicans offered amenmdents to 660 to keep evidence public, to give it to the defense, to allow defense to call witnesses, etc. He shot them all down. He had a chance for a fair investigation. Now it is impossible to have a fair trial even if we got the exculpatory testimony out of Schiff's safe.

If you want to know just how effective Piglosi's impeachment has been just follow the money:

https://politicoworld.com/team-trump-raises-10-million-during-just-one-week-of-impeachment-probe/

Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale has revealed that his team managed to raise $10 million in just one week as House Democrats advanced their impeachment inquiry.

On Sunday, Parscale detailed some of Trump’s accomplishments on Twitter, including finishing the first phase of a trade deal with China, an executive order designed to fight anti-Semitism on college campuses, and perhaps the biggest news of all–Trump 2020’s massive fundraising haul.

Trump is ‘Crushing It’ in Fundraising “While Dems continue their political theater … @realDonaldTrump has been crushing it!” Parscale said.

Great post, Rod.

The Senate’s dismissal should also have a definitive statement saying that if the House votes to indict, the bill should be sent to the Senate promptly. Any delay should be Constitutionally dismissed. It’s not Nanzi’s job or duty to re-write the Constitution. It says the Senate has SOLE responsibility to try the President—not the House.

What part of “You’re done, Bitch!” does she not understand?

I did watch the McCarthy speech, too.

I’m still concerned about all the retirements. He’s got to stem that, or work hard to promote good replacements.

My best guess is she is hoping for some new devastating new scandal to break.

But she is also up against Durham potentially indicting half the FBI and former Obama people.

We shall just ignore them and muddle onward.

The Turtle abides.

Thanks AB! Problem we have with the bigger dems is they still think they are above the law. They are still used to being ruled by ozero/valjar where the law did not matter. They keep forgetting there is a new Sheriff in town and he enforces the law. A lot of them never got over the hildabeast losing the election:

I walked in a park near my office at lunch. The park had a very small creek . I noticed there were several hen mallards with ducklings in this very urban place

Down the length of my walk, I counted 26 ducklings. As time went by the number decreased alarmingly. . I remarked about the decline to a man who was there a lot. He told me he had witnessed ducklings being sucked down by the Snappers.

Like the ducks, the snappers had adapted to this urban park

True, but most of the bass and blunder came from Pencil Neck’s disastrous committee. Week after week of utter fails, even while the drivebys tried to make hay from the morning sessions, the GOP shot it to smithereens in the afternoons.

When Sondland finally admitted Trump told him:

“I want nothing. I want nothing, I want no quid pro quo. Tell Zelensky — President Zelensky to do the right thing.”

It was OVER.

For most people, the Nadler hearing came and went VERY quickly before the final vote. Most, if any who followed, followed the Adam Shitt hearings.

That’s when the support for impeachment began to crash mightily. If Nanzi was so politically crafty, she would stopped it then, but they were all in too deep. There was no way they were going to let the Republicans have any more media spotlight—they had to hurry the vote to avoid THAT, or a public cry for that.

My opinion is that Pelosi thought A. Schitt had it in the bag, and was planning on a slow, calculated Nadler-led committee hearing to pound the nails in the coffin.

After Schitt blew it up, she knew they had to hurry the vote... So she came up with that last minute hold of bringing it to the Senate as a stop gap.

Everything she does has BLUNDER written on it but she gets by because the media works to promote rather than expose her.

It figures that liberal POS Wallace would give air-head Debby Dingleberry air time to vent her sob story.

I doubt she cared out whit that John Dingell died, she was his trophy wife and married him for the money.

Her only regret was that old bastard lived soooo long.

The democrats remind me of the Nazis in late 1944...

“One more push, and we’ll win! One more attack through the Ardennes, like in 1940, and we’ll sweep them to the sea! And yes, our super weapons will get Trump once and for all!”
—Nanzi Pelosi, from her Bunker under the Capitol

Merry Christ mas RG and everyone. Interesting stuff and most of the conspiracy buffs have a large grain of truth in them.

Right now the DNC is being controlled by Harpy and Barak who do not like each other but are equally guilty. It will be interesting to see if one cracks when Barr starts getting close.

It looks like the Swamp is now pushing Klobuchar, since she managed to make it through an entire debate without leaving with her foot stuck firmly in her mouth, and after Biden’s senility became obvious even to the media. It looks like the dueling wine cave veterans couldn’t even protrude their noses above the slime.

How bad is it when you have a 3 hour debate and the only thing that came out is one of them had a fundraiser with some really rich people.

Why doesn’t one of them take a club to Biden and ax him about his connection with Ukraine? He would be done in 5 mins. They are all guilty for not asking.

-- ...anybody got any ideas why Pelosi didn't send the impeachment stuff to the senate? --

To facilitate creation of "Senate corrupt, impeachment articles good" narrative.

If she follows the usual path, not news. By taking unprecedented action, that action becomes the news and preoccupies the news. The alternative is that the news has time to discuss the merits of the case.

Now the news will present why the Senate process is awful and the outcome is a predetermined partisan thing, unless they can peel off Romney, Murkowski, Collins, etc., in which case the narrative will be there is bipartisan agreement Trump should be removed from office over his interaction with Ukraine's Zelenskyy.

Maximizes the mileage of the Ukraine hoax.
