The problem is....The Dems issued a subpoena for Bolton....and then withdrew it when they realized he was going to court. (That kills the obstruction claim).
And since Bolton has left the administration, I'm not even sure if he can even be called.
I also believe that any testimony by any member of this group would totally and without a doubt vindicate the President....which is why they were not called.

Schumer and other party leaders will scramble for new information to throw at the president, and at Republicans, until it is over.
It is never over.

It will *take too long* to involve the courts and do this the legal way? Is the goal here to save time or to serve justice? Rhetorical question.
That comment spoke volumes.

The more I think on it, the more I am convinced that the only rational approach to the libs theatrical production is summary dismissal in the Senate, if it gets there. There are many reasons for taking this approach, but I will state two compelling ones. Do not legitimize a totally frivolous case and waste taxpayers’ money in a Senate trial. Secondly, because the libs have indicated they are ready to conduct a none stop impeachment crusade, a firm message needs to be sent NOW that further loony tunes will be met with the same summary dismissal.

McConnell has already told Schumer and the democRATS that they are not getting their way. He's aligned himself with Trump and the WH lawyers.

Not gonna happen. McConnell and Graham no matter what you think of them personally are not going to allow that to happen. It will be the quickest vote to acquit ever.

The surprise that I would like to see is Chief Justice Roberts issuing a summary judgment and dismissing the two charges as groundless. Then spending an hour lecturing the House of Representatives on what an absolute POS document that it prepared and how a first-year law student would be embarrassed to present this baseless garbage.
It is probably not within his power as he precedes over this sham hearing but it would be nice to see. Besides that milquetoast Roberts doesn't have the gonads to be bold.
President Trump could then go into reelection mode, secure reelection, regain control of the House, solidify the majority in the Senate, and then go into all-out vindictive mode and really flush the toilet that is Washington, D.C. Start with the Bidens - lots of people are curious how an unskilled, absolute loser like Hunter Biden could land all these sweetheart deals without someone pulling the strings. This could really open the Pandora's Box and show everyone the corruption of the Obama Administration and Hillary Clinton.
I know this won't happen but it makes me feel better to get that rant off my chest. If four and half years ago, you'd have told me that I would be strongly defending Donald Trump, I would have thought you were crazy.

Republicans should not believe for one minute that the campaign to remove the president will rely only on the case Democrats have built in the House. Schumer and other party leaders will scramble for new information to throw at the president, and at Republicans, until it is over. The trouble with that plan is that a Grand Jury indicts, and a petit jury convicts (or acquits). The Senate is not authorized to impeach, only to convict or acquit.
