Pled what? Nothing impeachable has been pled yet. The only thing they have at this point is speculation and opinions. Give me some hard evidence of anything for the impeachment and crimes in the future. So far all you have is no talk or facts, just the story of a whistle blower that heard nothing provable.

The Democrats seem to have a “strange new respect” for the Constitution. Given their opposition to the electoral college and Bill of Rights, it seems they only read or respect their misreading of the impeachment bit.
