If true, then we have 500 idiots.

What law was broken?

Answer: None

President Trump better get REALLY AGGRESSIVE LEGALLY AND LAWFULLY and go after these communists that are throwing everything they can to coup our President.

Personally I think they are never going to stop unless President Trump goes after them. He must act or they will still the election.

"Most lawyers are liberals."

If the Democrats pursued 'legal reform' with the same zeal that they pursue 'health care reform', and pushed 'universal legal coverage' - with significant limits on what attorneys could charge and how much they could make on class action suits etc. - they would cease to be liberals.

47 opposed Clinton’s impeachment? Doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. Great work!

We know these legal “scholars” are a joke, but this is what amounts to reasoned legal analysis from our university elite these days. Honestly, I wish we could cut through all the BS and just talk as people in search of truth, but the left doesn’t even believe in truth anymore. The only thing they appear to care about is winning at any cost. I have far more confidence in the legal reasoning of a typical FReeper than these scholars.

Truth be told, Clinton really did commit perjury and blatant obstruction of justice. One can argue over whether that rises to the level of a high crime worth impeaching a president, but one cannot reasonably claim Clinton wasn’t caught in lies under oath (perjury) and interfering with witnesses (obstruction).

What have they proven with Trump? He doesn’t deny asking for the Ukrainians to do us a favor. He even released the transcript. One can claim Trump was out to eliminate a political foe, Biden, but where’s the proof of Trump’s criminal intent?

We are now told there doesn’t even have to be a crime. That’s true. The House can impeach for any or no reason at all. All true. That doesn’t make this the right thing to do, but Democrats don’t care.

I like to think I’m a reasonable man. I would support Trump’s impeachment if he was clearly guilty of a high crime. This is simply not that, and no amount of “Guilty!” cries from leftist legal scholars changes the fact that there is no evidence of a crime here or even criminal intent.

We've seen their "law professors". They are abysmal, horrifically hate-filled and apparently mentally ill examples of human beings.

Out of all the law schools in the US, only 6 are for-profit. The rest, including Harvard, Yale, etc. are non-profit, and thus despite their political leanings and activism they pay no taxes. That is just flat out wrong.

Yes. It’s an appeal to authority logical fallacy. Good point!

What can you expect from maladjusted hacks who have indoctrinated the past two generations to accept socialism over freedom?

From what I understand, your description of Pamela Karlan is on target. You can see the decades of hate written into her face. Sad. She’s a “snarky, bisexual, Jewish women”.

I’d rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.

“There is overwhelming evidence that President Trump betrayed his oath of office by seeking to use presidential power to pressure a foreign government to help him distort an American election, for his personal and political benefit, at the direct expense of national security interests as determined by Congress,” the group of professors wrote.

Really...I wonder when someone is going to present this evidence...They certainly haven't yet...

Oh that's right...They are going to impeach him while still investigating to find the evidence...

There must be some professors who aren’t leftist. What about those professors who speak at various Federalist Society conferences?

Google says there are 17080 law professors in the US, so finding 4-500 to sign anything should be easy.

We elected Trump to destroy those people, so it’s no surprise they have a problem with him.

Thankfully they have helpfully identified themselves for follow-up efforts to roll up the coup and its supporters.

Every signatory should face a sedition charge, once we’re through with the main conspirators.
