News that the Hallmark Channel is looking to add LGBT-friendly movies to its lineup is yet another stab in the back for conservative Christians, many of whom are still reeling from Chick-fil-A’s recent betrayal of traditional family values.
According to The Wrap, executives at Hallmark’s parent company, Crown Media Family Networks, admitted the network is seeking to air more stories focused on LGBT characters.
“We are continuing to expand our diversity,” Michelle Vicary, Crown Media’s executive vice president of programming, told TheWrap for a story published last week. “We are looking at pitches for LGBTQ movies
“Like the industry, there is a lot of work to be done to catch up.”
Vicary’s remarks echoed those made by Crown Media CEO Bill Abbot.
Abbot told The Hollywood Reporter last week he is “open” to movies that have a homosexual character in the lead role.
This holiday season, Hallmark is planning on releasing 40 original movies.
The channel’s reputation for airing wholesome, feel-good stories is widely known and greatly appreciated by millions of Americans who detest the radical nature of the LGBT movement’s demands.
A petition from LifeSiteNews, a pro-life, pro-family Christian website, warned Hallmark that it would “risk losing a big part of their market” if the network gives in “to the LGBT agenda.”
“Hallmark would be offending Christian viewers and Christian parents BIG TIME, by experimenting with homosexual themes, and, or cooperating with the LGBT indoctrination agenda,” the petition reads.
“Hallmark should also know that if they give-in to the LGBT agenda, the LGBT activists will never be satisfied.”
The petition had garnered nearly 30,000 signatures as of Friday morning.

Well, that's smart, seeing as you would want to program for a larger demographic.
Remember when gay meant happy, rainbows were God’s sign to Noah that he wouldn’t flood the earth again, and only horses were ridden bareback. Because if the left has it’s way,our grandchildren won’t.
Nothing should appear in a story that is not in some way related directly to the plot. The definition of science fiction, for example, is one rule or law that is different from the real universe. Whatever this difference is, it must drive the plot. (Most of what the entertainment industry calls science fiction is actually a western set in space.) What I see of gayness in entertainment is either an ornamentation, like glitter, sprinkled over another story that does not need or want it, or, it’s a total SJW “woke” story that, as a result, has zero entertainment value. The newest “Ghostbusters” is an example of SJW wokeness that destroyed a good story. “La Cage Aux Fall” (SP?) is the only example of a gay story where gayness was driving the plot. (Heaven forbid that a straight actor be hired to fill one of the gay roles.)
I don’t see any good mix where gayness could drive a Christmas story. Perhaps the little boy who wants a sex change for Christmas? Oh, yeah, good family entertainment there.
God wanted to protect His fledgling people/nation from that. He wanted America to protect itself, too, but would we listen? NOOOooooo

Diversity is neither good nor bad by definition. It’s effects are completely dependent on the context in which they exist and are applied.
Diversity of thought is generally good, diversity of action may or may not be a good thing. Diversity of people is neither good nor bad in and of itself but dependent on the people involved and the situation in which they are place
Forcing diversity into the mix especially when your dealing with cultures is dangerous and generally has the opposite effect of what is ultimately desired.
The only reason that the introduction of “diversity” of people worked so well in the 19th and 20th centuries of America is that the diverse peoples maintained only small bits of their original culture and assimilated to the common culture of Americanism. The “melting pot” integrated all disparate customs into one grand American society.
