FULL TITLE: New York Jailbreak Law to Free Suspects Accused of Manslaughter, Negligent Homicide, Child Sex Crimes
New Yorks latest criminal justice reform plan will release suspects accused of second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, child sex crimes, and making threats of terrorism without ever having to post bail.
The states series of bail reforms, set to go into effect January 2020, will ensure that suspects accused of crimes deemed non-violent are not jailed before their trial dates and do not have to post bail.
The list of crimes where suspects will be freed from prison before trial includes:
Second-degree manslaughter Aggravated vehicular assault Third-degree assault Promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child Possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child Promoting a sexual performance by a child Failure to register as a sex offender Making terroristic threats Criminally negligent homicide Aggravated vehicular homicide In one recent case, a suspect in Warren County, New York, was charged with second-degree manslaughter after he allegedly killed a bystander while leading police on a high-speed chase. Though the suspect is currently behind bars awaiting trial, he will be released in January when the new bail laws go into effect.
Another case last week saw an accused drug dealer who allegedly caused the death of a man who overdosed on drugs sold to him by the dealers crew publicly thanking Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) for signing the jailbreak legislation, the New York Daily News reported.
Cuomo for president! the accused drug dealer shouted in Spanish.
Law enforcement officials have warned that if Cuomo doesnt block the jailbreak laws from taking effect, police across the state will be left continuously re-arresting accused criminals and having to find suspects who fail to show up to their court dates.

I question the use of the term "prison" here. Suspects in NY State are not held at prisons prior to trial. They are always held at county jails. Once they are sentenced, the State has a certain amount of time to move them from the county jails. And if it isn't done in a quick fashion, the State has to pay the county they are being held in, a per diem rate. The rule used to be that anyone who was sentenced to a year or longer had to be transferred to a State prison. Anyone sentenced to less than a year, completed their time in a county jail. I've been retired 16 years, but I'm assuming that rule still applies.
Once again the Left takes a valid idea (reducing bail for low risk offenders accused of non-violent misdemeanors) and turn it into a sweepstakes win for scum of the earth.
NY Makes criminals out of law abiding citizens, but allows VIOLENT Criminals to go free? Homicide, rape, manslaughter, terrorist threats etc are violent crimes- who the hell decided they weren’t violent?
Ok.
Stay the hell out of New York.
;-)
so every day is now PURGE in NY ?
Thank you.
I’ll try to not forget.

On the bright side, they will enact laws making Church attendance a mandatory capital felony requiring immediate execution upon being caught in the act. Saying "God Bless You" or "Merry Christmas" to someone will be a mandatory life with no possibility of parole felony. Being found in possession of a copy of the Holy Bible immediate execution where found.
Decent individuals had better flee New York State while the opportunity to leave presents itself. The degenerates and perverts are now in full control. From this point forward, everything that happens will be bad.
Just another good reason to be leaving.
