Darwinians Excuse Out-of-Order Fossils

November 13, 2019 | David F. Coppedge

Because Darwinism is built on philosophical naturalism, evidence can be moved around as needed.

Evolutionists never seem worried about out-of-place fossils. Why is that? The reason is that the philosophy of naturalism is the driving force that keeps Darwinism going. Darwinians think like this: (1) Naturalism must be our worldview. (2) Darwinism seems to be the best theory within naturalism. (3) If problems are found in Darwinism, there isn’t any competition, so we can just shuffle parts of the story around. This non-falsifiable strategy allows them to believe in the Popeye Theory of Evolution (17 Aug 2019), the Cambrian explosion, and any other rearrangement as long as naturalism is preserved. Even a Precambrian rabbit could probably be accommodated by a sufficiently talented just-so storyteller.

New fossil pushes back physical evidence of insect pollination to 99 million years ago (Indiana University at Bloomington). A fossil in amber has just doubled the evolutionary age of insect pollination.

Scientists have known the earth was round since before Christ.

The fossils appear to be those of a well-designed lobe-finned fish, when all things are considered. Lacking well-defined transitional fossil lines to and from this creature, the Tiktaalik narrative qualifies as a just-so story, and not much else.

The main thrust appears to be, trust the science, and “don’t believe the hype.”

The skeletal structure of a foot but enclosed in a fin. It had a skull tat was amphibian not fish like as a well as a neck and . Other transitional forms have been found... some thought to precede (Pandericthys, Eusthenopteron) and some forms suspected to be later (Icthyostega, Acanthostega).

They think that Tiktaalik did live in shallow water based on its structure and its location. and with its fin and pectoral girdle structure and
ventured onto land

Izatso? Exactly which science does the article identify as being trustworthy?

Every link between ALL species is missing... millions of them... Darwin was wrong.

All science is trustworthy. The interpretations of scientific data by evolutionists are not.

>>Michael said, “Galileo was tried by the church.”

Galileo opposed the consensus “science” of his day as determined by the scientific establishment. The scientific establishment of that day was sanctioned by the government, which just happened to be the church. The scientific establishment of our day is also sanctioned by the government. There is not a dimes worth of difference between then and now, except for the degree of punishment for “heresy” against the doctrine of the establishment.

Well, they don’t agree with one hypothesis, and more generally, the methodology that supporters of that hypothesis use to try and prop it up. That doesn’t equate to “don’t believe in science”. Science isn’t a religion that requires belief, or it certainly shouldn’t be.

Nice try but Galileo was tried by the Church who dictated policy to scientists and kings and queens alike. He was tried by the Inquisition and found guilty of heresy.

Churches are made up of mortal men and women who are imperfect when compared to the greatest of the creator. It is blasphemy to suggest mortal men and women are “all knowing” and speak for the creator. The imperfect mortal men and women who make up the church have been wrong in the past and they will be wrong again in the future.

You cannot win this argument without succumbing to the deadly sin of pride...

Do you have any serious historical references to back up your assertion?
