Web traffic continued its dramatic spiral for Matt Drudges news aggregate site in October and at this point, the negative numbers are beginning to resemble one of the models employed to predict corporate disasters.
One of the things you learn as a Ceritifed Fraud Examiner is forensic accounting and modeling and Drudges recent and quick mud slide of web traffic is starting to look like the Enron model. And that obviously is not good.
It is a good thing Drudge is not working in corporate America or running a publicly-traded entity. He would be in deep trouble.
Drudges overall web traffic is down nearly 18 percent in September and October, according to the tracking metrics on Similar Web. Thats a massive and accelrated slide from approximately 93 million visits to 77 million.
Take heed Fox News.
I listen to Rush every day.
I no longer watch Fox News or any other tv news.
And no, I do not believe known liars as you clearly do, and I do not promote them or their lies to others.
In your ignorance you declare Fox to be Liars when they have Jordan and Nunez and the other Republican voices live
You are declaring the Republican stars to be liars.
Not watching TV is not a badge of honor but rather a description of a personality defect
Yes, Fox News is liars.
OANN also puts the same voices on, and exclude other pointless voices, such as Wallace and Napolitano.
They don’t give platforms to the likes of Richard Goodstein, Chris Hahn and Donna Brazille.
But I don’t even watch them anymore, because my position is that 24/7 news channels need to go away, so I made them go away in my life. I recommend you do the same.
[How high was Drudge at its peak ?]
Here, bert:
Sorry, can’t stomach this man, his garbage, or the channel that carries it.
Pretty much the same thing here. Cold turkey usually has withdrawal symptoms but I haven’t felt a thing.
Removed him from my Bookmarks over a month ago and haven’t looked back!
What a cop out.
You are in effect throwing out the babies with the bath water.
That’s their problem. I’m not going to put up with liars.
He might hang with Ann some times, but he is a homosexual deviant like Judge Nepolitano. Look him up
I used to hit Drudge first every morning. Now hardly ever.
Yet, some Freepers still want us to give Fudge some hits.
HELL NO. Let that site bleed out.
I rarely ever went there....
Good site, but that vertical format is difficult to wade thru.
She and her husband Adrian Otto, have a past business association with Matt and his father Bob. Bob Drudge founded a reference website called Refdesk, and sold it to the Ottos in 2017. I dont know much else about the Ottos, or their plans for Drudge and Refdesk.
So it looks that Matt retains majority ownership of Drudge, but Margaret Otto now sells advertising for it, not Intermarkets, as they had been doing for the past 20 years.
Wow, very interesting. I didn't know all that. Thanks for that info, lee martell.
ncalburt: I saw your comment upthread about Google. I think Google bought Matt Drudge's father's website RefDesk.com. I thought I read it somewhere, but now cannot find a link. Google did NOT buy The Drudge Report. At least not to my knowledge.
My husband and I always liked RefDesk.com (and of course The Drudge Report before it "changed"). Back in 2000 or so, I emailed a compliment to RefDesk. Bob Drudge himself emailed me back, thanking me profusely for my comments. Seemed like a nice guy.
Met Matt Drudge back in the day (see my profile page).
It was hard to take Fox seriously when they employed Shemp the Stalinist Fag to “report” the “news.”
Except what he decides upon and heralds on his website still reflects his views, and his view is viscerally anti-Trump and that the administration is a day away from falling. That narrative is pure “fake news.”
When did drudge get bought out by a new owner?
