On Tuesday, former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton told BBC Radio 5 Live she was under “enormous pressure” to consider a 2020 White House run.
When asked about her future in politics, Clinton said, “I feel a sense of responsibility partly because you know my name was on the ballot, I got more votes, but ended up losing to the current incumbent in the White House who I think is really undermining our democracy in very fundamental ways. And I want to retire him.”
When asked if she is absolutely ruling out a 2020 run, Clinton said, “I, as I say never, never, never say never. I will certainly tell you. I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it. But as of this moment, sitting here in this studio talking to you, that is absolutely not in my plans.”

A weary, tiresome rematch. Adlai Stevenson in 1956, after Dwight Eisenhower trounced his butt in 1952. He was just the best the Democrats had in that era, which was before the dynamic rise of the now rehabilitated Kennedys.
Joe Kennedy had been aiming for the top spot in the Democrat party, but had been temporarily set back by his anti-war activity while acting as Ambassador to the Court of St. James. So he groomed his sons carefully. Never, ever, admit to any admiration of the National Socialists of Germany. And do not talk about “tribes” like the Jewish people or Irish Catholics.
A lot of people here think she needs to be on the ballot before the convention.
I disagree.
Scenario: The convention cannot agree on a candidate. Unanimously asks Hillary to run. GOP protests she was not on the ballot. DNC points to Lautenberg in NJ as precedent that there HAS to be a representative from the other party on the ballot to make it fair. Cases start for the Supreme Court but takes longer than the election, so is moot.
She runs, she wins (Massive voter fraud and counting), Supreme Court never sees the original case.
I am certain that every time that little glimmer of “I think I will run” flashes through what passes for her brain, another little glimmer of, “what happens if I lose...again” closely follows.
It wasn't her money so she couldn't give two $hits.
