Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has filed to have his name on the Alabama ballot along with other Democratic presidential contenders in 2020.
Representatives for Bloomberg, 77, filed the paperwork with the Alabama Democratic Party in Montgomery on Friday, which could make Bloomberg an eligible primary candidate on March 3, Super Tuesday.
.... Despite filing for paperwork, a representative for Bloomberg said the New York billionaire has still not confirmed if he will join the race and that the Alabama filing was strictly for deadline purposes.

This is true - pompous, elitist, billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg couldn't wait a few seconds for the car AC to cool down the car when he got in, so aides had to hold a room air conditioner up to the window for 10 minutes before he got in: https://t.co/hZxLYSnRFI— MARK SIMONE (@MarkSimoneNY) November 8, 2019
The dem senator there votes with Rs when it comes to the 2nd amendment?
That’s a good thing.
The Traveling DNC Presidential Debate Show loses Beto the Clown and picks up Bloomers the Clown. Excellent.
Plus he's going to look like a pocket man on the debate stage. Humans are biologically evolved to pick out bigger men as a leader. All the billions in the world won't generate enthusiasm for an ugly little pocket man whose eyes are too close together on his resting sneer face
Someone said, who has seen him in person (probably some TV or radio host my mom listens to), he looks very old.
Oh! Susanna
OMG(osh). LOL
I totally missed the point of your exchanges!
Thanks, y’all for the clarification. Hubby and I now have a road trip in mind, final destination: Catfish Cabin.
Viking ~ We moved here from Virginia, 20 years ago. I miss the mountains where I grew up, but Alabama is our home and where we’ve raised our children.
I’ve been in the area while the Bassmaster Classic was going on. Make sure you get your hotel reservations now as they get fully booked and there’s not a lot to choose from if you wait. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn which is decent and there’s a Courtyard there I stayed in as well.
Lake Guntersville is a wonderful area. I’ve been going there since I was a boy. I’m not a big fisherman but the fishing there is very good. My uncle had a stocked pond on his land up in Horton that I fished out of a lot while growing up. Yeah, I know that’s not real fishing!

We’ll see if he keeps up that voting record if he gets re-elected. Hard to see that happening with any Democrat these days.
Oh, the Bloomberg that shut down over 55 houses of worship in NYC back in 2012. That Bloomberg???
People keep making a big deal of his money, but that isnt going to help him at all.
He has no ID outside of NYC, and running for mayor there is a different animal than running in a primary, especially one he is coming late into.
Unless he is going to use that money to just s*it all over the other canidates, he is just tossing money away.
Unless this is just a way to launder money into local DNC coffers.
Best hushpuppies EVER!
Way to old.
Im sure Big Mike will be a big hit in Alabama. Not.
I don't know if he thinks he can win. This may just be a rich man's whim - the last thing on his billionaire's bucket list - but don't be surprised if the press is surprised by how well he does in some unexpected places. Sometimes you don't win by winning but by beating the spread and defying expectations.
Conclusion: Oh boy, this is great!
Sam, fising is fishing, whether it be Lake Erie, a private pond, or your living room aquarium. LOL I’m on the pro/field staff of several small-ish tackle and outdoor apparel companies (enough to make a decent tournmant jersey out of the sponsor logos) but it doesn’t mean I’m The World’s Greatest Angler, it’s just means that I’ve always loved fishing and can get by competitively on a level playing field. Fishing a private stocked pond is a joy just from the standpoint of actually getting a bite and landing them. My wife’s cousin has a small, stocked lake on his farm and I love any chance I get to wet a line in it. The fish aren’t in pressured water and are less tempremental about weather conditions and the type of bait you toss. Guntersville is only about a three hour drive from here, so it would be a day trip, especially if my wife goes with me.
Just what everyone needs in this race...another rich old white guy.
