Yep those EB lawsuits too...and affirmative action/diversity hiring in PG&E management...the last CEO before the current one for example. The newest one came over from the TVA in May...I bet he wishes he was back at the TVA about now!

Just like when they build a bridge and say tolls are temporary until the bridge is paid off...

Just a bit of fun at my expense, seeing as I ‘m stuck here in Illinois. “Toll free in 73.”

“In 1953, when the Illinois General Assembly created the Illinois State Toll Highway Commission, it was to borrow money to build highways. The tolls were intended to pay off those bonds. Then the roads were to become freeways, maintained by the gas tax.”

...”But, by then, state politicians had realized that with the tollways went jobs, contracts and clout.”

https://abc7chicago.com/archive/8327185/

Toll Highway Authority had its own helicopter, gotta be able to look for potholes in heavy traffic?

If you are ever unfortunate enough to travel the Il tollway, notice all the signs, mile markers about every quarter mile on both sides of the road, four signs every few hundred feet???

A bunch of crooks. but you already knew that.

It’s a state regulated utility. They pull themselves out of bankruptcy by raising rates.

A buck a kilowatt-hour is just about right, to go with the five dollar a gallon gasoline.

Perhaps State control of our power grid is the END GAME behind all of this ARSON.

Then they could start denying individual citizens electric power, depending on how they voted...

On the one hand Gavin wants the money coming in to PG&E for himself, so he is likely to make a play for it. But does he realize that once PG&E is government controlled, he can no longer hide behind PG&E and blame them for the fires?

They cannot control homeless sanitation, but they will fix PG&E.

This is great - and I think they should try to hire some Venezuelan power company officials to help them straighten it out and run it!

Wasn't that the plan?

Let it fail so they could take it over?

Just like in venezuela. Make government laws and regulations that make it impossible for a company to properly function, blame the company, government takes over the company.

Yeah, that makes sense. The state is already trillions of dollars in debt. Why not incur more?
