President Trump earlier this week asked for a show of hands from hundreds of wealthy donors in Chicago if they supported letting former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich out of prison, according to several people who attended.
The informal poll over clemency for the disgraced former politician found that most people in the room were sympathetic, according to half-a-dozen people who were at Monday’s fundraiser in Chicago’s Trump International Hotel. A trio of Republican congressmen at the back of the room was firmly opposed, the people said.
Mr. Blagojevich was convicted on corruption charges in 2011, some involving an effort to sell the Senate seat of then-president-elect Barack Obama for campaign contributions. He began serving a 14-year prison sentence in 2012.

Trump drops plenty of F bombs himself, so let’s not get holier than thou. I did not like Patti when she first became publicly known, but this experience has humbled her and she does seem like she has learned and tried to make amends. Blago says his faith has been strengthened in prison, maybe hers has too.
Blago’s got the hair, but it’s grey now. Hair dye isn’t sold in the joint.
