Poor Joe.
If you count all the FR threads on this subject - he’s been denied Communion some 15 times already.
It’s about time these unholy communions
we’re put in the spotlight.
I can’t speak for him; however, it’s hard to believe God’s blessings will flow to murderers of the unborn.
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations
No such thing as a cafeteria Catholic. You cant pick and choose what to believe.
Catholics who have ceased to affirm the teaching of the Church have ceased to be Catholics.
What about all the parishioners who believe in abortion...orwho practice birth control, or who cheat on their spouses...etc etc
Joe should make a big stink about this affront to his well known piety and devotion to the Holy Eucharist.
The church should have excommunicated pro choice politicians long ago.
Good on the SC priest.
Good man, that Father Morey!
It’s called speaking the truth to power.
As I see it, there are two issues. First, is abortion a constitutionally protected right. Not in any sane world, IMO.
But, for the sake of argument, let’s say it is. Then the question becomes, “Can I force someone else to pay for me to exercise this right?”
Let’s say that you are a “woke” snowflake, who just happens to have a job and pay taxes. Unlikely, but bear with me. Suppose a Neo-Nazi, KKK type guy wanted to exercise his right to publish “hate” speech. He can’t afford it, being a bigoted bum. Should he be able to demand tax-payers fork over enough money to print up his brochures and posters.
Ah, but “hate” speech isn’t a constitutional right, you say. Well, that is another question. But who gets to decide?
Best everybody pay for the exercise of their own “constitutional” rights.
Do you know who I am?
YEP - that’s why you’re not being allowed to take communion.
He wants to have his communion wafer and eat it, too.
My Faith is private but I hold the power to kill unborn Children. He kills little Babies.
