Fox News’ Chris Wallace just shocked viewers by going on an anti-Trump rant.
This past week, House Republicans stormed a closed-door impeachment hearing with complaints about a lack of transparency. It was these same Republicans that Wallace went after during an appearance he made on “America’s Newsroom” on Friday.
There, host Sandra Smith had Wallace listen to a video clip in which White House adviser Kellyanne Conway asked, “Where’s the process?”
“My feeling is that if you are having trouble with the facts, you argue process,” responded Wallace, who seems all too ready to take the Democrats’ side. “That’s what Republicans are doing right now.”
The implication, of course, is that the facts are against President Donald Trump, that they seem to indicate that Trump is guilty of a quid pro quo between himself and Ukranian president Volodymyr Zelensky. This being the case, Wallace argues, all Republicans can do is try to get the inquiry thrown out by arguing that the process is unfair.
Before viewers get the idea that Wallace has a personal ax to grind, he cited the supposedly damning evidence that the Democrats have against Trump.
“The Democrats have gotten some very damaging information from people like William Taylor, the acting U.S. ambassador to Ukraine; Fiona Hill, who used to be one of the top advisers of the National Security Council on Ukraine,” he said, “evidence that seems to tie more of a quid pro quo, that there is some evidence from these people working in the Trump administration that the president linked aid to Ukraine, a White House meeting with Ukrainian president, to getting research on the Democrats.”
Wallace then likened the impeachment inquiry to the Benghazi hearings.
“In the Benghazi investigation, there were private hearings and then there were public hearings,” he said. “That’s what’s going to happen here.”
“I just think that in the end after we have these little must-see TV hearings with these key witnesses in public in November,” Wallace continued, “I’m not sure people are going to care a lot about what the process was in October.”

There are Republicans in these depositions able to ask questions of (cross examine) the witnesses.
If there were good facts being exposed we would hear about it. Instead we hear about process.
Face it, is there anyone who doesn't think Trump leveraged Ukraine to announce they were investigating Biden?
If you don't, be careful because Trump is likely to admit it tomorrow.
The play is to say get over it, not to pretend it didn't happen.

First, there appears to have been monkey business under the prior administration. Hillary, Hunter etc. It’s reasonable to check it out.
Second, I think it’s naive to think that there isn’t constant back and forth internationally as well as domestically. This is selective outrage, and selective righteousness.

What facts? In three years of constant screaming there have been ZERO facts against Trump. A thousand felonies by his accusers, BUT. NOT. ONE FACT. against Trump.

It’s the old trick Schiff likes to play. He selectively leaks his facts and the media treats them as the only facts.
Also, the GOP should be able to call it’s own witnesses. Where is that? It’s nowhere.

Perhaps if it ever does make it to the Senate, Majority Leader McConnell can convene all Republicans to secret meetings locking out all Democrats. After a few days of secret meetings, come out and aquit.
