Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced on Friday that she will not seek re-election to Congress in 2020 so that she can focus on her bid for the White House.
“I will not be seeking re-election to Congress in 2020, and humbly ask you for your support for my candidacy for president of the United States,” Gabbard said in a video published early Friday morning.
The decision to not seek a fifth term representing Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district makes way for a competitive race for her seat, reported Hawaii News Now. The local outlet points out that Gabbard’s absence from Congress “likely has repercussions for other local races.”

If so this might be a net gain
She’ll have to take a job in the Trump admin.
I don’t underestimate her.
And I don’t want her running against Trump.
It’s a interesting and gutsy tactic. She’s trying to make the race between her and clinton, bypassing the other candidates.
This tells me a couple things:
A) She realizes she and the demonrat party are finished with each other,
B) She is seriously considering a 3rd party run.
Which makes me think that Crooked H must have caught wind last week of Tulsi’s plan to give up her House seat. And this in turn prompted Crooked’s attack on Tulsi.

This is a bit of a surprise. Why would she do that? Surely she knows that she has no chance of becoming President. Perhaps all the Conservative media attention leads her to think she can? If so, she is as delusional as Hillary.

She was next to useless representing Hawaii other than the typical low-info drones. Spent her time promoting herself.
Her replacement will likely be worse.
Seeing her on Fox, my guess is that she is auditioning for a TV role and lots of money. She has no political future.

She has enhanced her image as the “anti-hildabeast”
she is coming off as too “centrist” to win the top spot on the ticket given the dems progressive socialist agenda today.
May end up “balancing” a ticket with mayor pete as the dem standard bearer?
Worst case is she drags herself outta the swamp & on to the set as a Fox News Contributor (ala jason chavez).

She wants to be VP, she knows she has no shot at the top of the ticket in the Democratic Party. She will be considered the moderate balance on the ticket. Expect her to go after all the female candidates (Kamala, Warren, etc) because it’s not likely we’ll see an all-female ticket.
MS. GABBARD HAS A VERY BIG EGO AND THAT MAY BE HER BIGGEST DOWNFALL WITHOUT MONEY TO BACK HER UP.
If Tulsi runs be as a third-party candidate, it will guarantee a Trump victory.
