That lifespan thing goes according to my perception.
I had a guy challenge that years ago, saying we don’t live much longer today than in previous history.
It was an interesting premise. I didn’t buy into it, but he did provide some data to back it up. Don’t recall it all now.
To me it’s intuitive medicine, diet, so forth. It’s infant mortality rates which are cited for low life averages before 1920.
