The Supreme Court on Tuesday rebuffed an appeal from a Christian former high school student who argued coursework on Islam at her Maryland school violated her First Amendment rights.
The dispute involves Caleigh Wood, a student at La Plata High School in Charles County, Maryland, who enrolled in a state-mandated World History course during the 2014-2015 school year.
As part of the class, the then-junior was required to complete coursework on “The Muslim World,” in which she learned about Islam. Wood took issue with two parts of the class: a PowerPoint presentation that said most Muslims’ faith “is stronger than the average Christian” and a fill-in-the-blank worksheet in which she had to write, “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah,” which she said was in violation of her Christian faith.
Wood refused to complete some of the class assignments, which led to a lower grade.
The school “subjected Ms. Wood to this promotional instruction in Islam, and also refused to grand her an opt out or alternative assignment when Ms. Wood, holding fast to her Christian beliefs, refused to write that the Muslim god is the only god,” her lawyers said in filings with the Supreme Court.
Wood sued Principal Evelyn Arnold and Vice Principal Shannon Morris in January 2016, alleging her First Amendment rights had been violated.
The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with Arnold and Morris, ruling the teachings at issue “did not impermissibly endorse any religion nor did they compel Wood to profess any belief.”
“According to Islam, once a person utters those words, he becomes a Muslim, and there’s no backing out.”

He later converted and became a Christian. In fact he is a men’s pastor at a local church.

On a trip to London in August, I noticed that all the burka or black-clad women Moslems were shopping on Oxford Street. When you got to the City, where business is done and people actually work, there were no Moslem women to be seen.
No problem with this, since it is the PUBLIC SCHOOLS and they are run by Leftists. Parents who don’t like it can consider pulling their kids out or otherwise not ‘supporting’ those schools...but most parents that I know seem to have no issue with LEFTISTS indoctrinating their kids (otherwise, they wouldn’t be subjecting their kids to the abuse we call ‘public schools’), so they really have no standing to complain when it happens - after all, Leftists will be, well, Leftists - particularly why they have your kids all to themselves.

Generally speaking, more sympathetic I could not be, but I’m thinking this is mostly a discussion of factoids on the ME, and context is important.
First, while it’s mostly an opinion that can’t really be proven, I’d guess with weak watered-down American and European Christians the former is true. Yes, I could be offended if it was presented as irrefutably true, but it’s not an attack on Christianity as much as a statement about how people hold to it.
2nd, why was she to write this? Was it play-acting that you must pretend to be a Moslem? Or was it the answer to “what is the statement that Moslems must profess?”
Islam is an evil blight on humanity. The funny thing is that liberals who actually should recognize that Islam is completely incompatible with their view of the world preach tolerance of Islam. They will be the first ones to have their heads severed from their bodies.

Nope=- not play acting- as soemoen pointed out above- once a person says those specific words- they are considered muslim- the school knew full well what it was forcing kids to do

This is just a proxy battle in the war on Christianity.

I think that’s what I would write if required to. Then, when my answer is marked wrong I would seek redress for discrimination on religious and 1A grounds.
One observation does not a trend make.
Take several observations over time to discern the trend. Londoners see it, tourists may or may not see it depending on their frequency and locations of visits.

The left would be screaming their fool heads off declaring violations of separation of church and state- or ‘government indoctrination’, or ‘government sponsored religious favoritism’ or some such nonsense-
