America’s top two Trump-hating newspapers, The New York Times and The Washington Post, have now both called on Speaker Nancy Pelosi to hold a vote of the full House of Representatives to make the “impeachment inquiry” truly official - and to set rules like those for the inquiries targeting Presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, so that the minority party and the White House weren’t totally sidelined.
So far, though, Pelosi and her impeachment pointman, Rep. Adam Schiff, are moving the opposite way.
President Trump and other Republicans have been complaining about Schiff’s decision to hold most hearings behind closed doors, yet the Intelligence Committee chief opted for even greater secrecy in last Friday’s questioning of Marie Yovanovitch, the former US ambassador to Ukraine - conducting it as a deposition, which makes it a criminal offense for either side to discuss her answers.
That keeps even the rest of the House in the dark about everything except the opening statement Yovanovitch made public.
Schiff is going to even greater lengths when it comes to the whistleblower whose complaint launched this whole … adventure. He might not even have the guy testify - which would remove any chance for anyone to probe his motives and biases.

The dam is breaking. The public polling, and internal polling, must be showing that the public see this as being unfair and a kangaroo court tactic.
I think the Dems have put themselves in an impossible position AND the only solution is for this 12 to say they do not have enough evidence to support impeachment....and there will be no vote.

The moment President Trump released the transcript, the “whistleblower” was shown to be a scam. But instead of backing down, which would be a public admission that the whole impeachment “inquiry” is a sham, the DemocRATs keep digging themselves deeper. Schiff is doing the “hearings” behind closed doors because he has nothing. If he had evidence, he’d be trumpeting it.
I think this thing is going to fall apart. I only hope that the population has not been so dumbed down that they fail to understand what is going on.

Hillary Clinton must be jumping for joy. With their stripping of President Trump’s Constitutional rights, Pelosi and Schiff are doing exactly what got Clinton kicked off the Watergate committee.
There’s too much use of personality hate Trump preferences as the excuse for quote, impeachment, unquote. It’s a distraction from the real reason. What should be looked into and brought to public attention is the connection to the corruption used by the swamp creatures Trump would put a screeching halt to. And offered as the real reason why democrats are going after Trump.

Federalist—According to Burisma’s website, Joseph Cofer Black (Romney adviser) was appointed in February of 2017 and continues to serve on its board. The timelines would indicate that Black and Biden worked together at Burisma, and indeed, web archives from late 2017 show Black and Biden listed simultaneously on the board.

KYIV. Oct 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden received $900,000 for lobbying activities from Burisma Group, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada member Andriy Derkach said citing investigation materials.
Derkach publicized documents which, as he said, “describe the mechanism of getting money by Biden Sr.” at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine’s press center in Kyiv on Wednesday.
“This was the transfer of Burisma Group’s funds for lobbying activities, as investigators believe, personally to Joe Biden through a lobbying company. Funds in the amount of $900,000 were transferred to the U.S.-based company Rosemont Seneca Partners, which according to open sources, in particular, the New York Times, is affiliated with Biden. The payment reference was payment for consultative services,” Derkach said.

When Reagan was President, the left went hysterical and kept up the drumbeat that Reagan was going to cause a nuclear war. We were bombarded with articles about nuclear winter and nuclear doomsday movies. Despite all of that propaganda, we survived the Reagan presidency without nuclear incident.
