As poor as CNN’s ratings are in the United States, a rational person would conclude that, at some point, the executives who run the place would figure out what they’re doing wrong and fix it so that they could attract more viewers.
But CNN isn’t run by rational people. In fact, we believe everyone who works there is certifiably out of their minds. They’d have to be in order to come up with some of the dumbest, tone-deaf, inappropriate, uninteresting, and pointless BS they put on the air.
Like holding a “town hall” meeting with a gay man, hosted by a gay man, talking about gay issues.

When AIDS first came along I remembered The Masque of the Red Death and imagined that gays in particular and society in general would be chastened and more carful and circumspect but I did not allow for Deviants and Leftists in my thinking. Thirty years ago I worked with a man who was gay. He talked as if he was sexually active and though he looked healthy, I always noticed that he was phobic about getting any kind of illness, even a cold. Then one day he called in sick. He was in the hospital with a spinal infection and couldn’t walk. I went to visit him. He told me he had had HIV for some time. He was dead soon afterwards.
