FULL TITLE: NSC staffer discussed Trump-Ukraine call outside council, called conversation 'outrageous': sources

Former Amb. Marie Yovanovitch denies disparaging Trump administration, claims she was unfairly pushed out

After President Trump’s July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, it was reported to then-senior National Security Council (NSC) leadership that an NSC staffer had relayed information about the call to individuals outside the NSC -- and characterized the president's conversation as "outrageous," sources familiar with the matter told Fox News.

The development comes as Fiona Hill, a former special assistant to the president who worked on European and Russian affairs, is set to give a deposition next week. Fox News has reached out to Hill for over a week with questions about whether she helped prep for the July 25 call or received any readout of the call.

Hill departed the White House in July, after working under ex-National Security Advisers H.R. McMaster and John Bolton.

The White House has yet to comment on the matter to Fox News.

Other top administration officials linked to the Ukraine situation are also set to testify next week. On Friday, Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. envoy to Kiev and someone President Trump called "bad news," according to a memorandum of the telephone call with Ukraine's leader, arrived on Capitol Hill for a transcribed interview with lawmakers and staff.

I’m quite sure that to someone used to the usual diplomatic drivel between heads of state the way President Trump speaks to other leaders probably does seem “outrageous.”

Allegations against Trump are consistently mischaracterized and conclusory. When the actual conduct is revealed the outrage is feigned and the accusations crumble, and derangement syndrome supplies the momentum thereafter.

It’s just pathetic what is considered “news” today. Speculation, innuendo, and hear-say is all we get.

The sad fact though is that we’ve only recently seen the mask drop, they just don’t pretend anymore...makes one wonder just how long they’ve been at it though.

You are 100% CORRECT!

Why is this even NEWS? Wait.... it ISN’T news. It’s more like “gossip”.

Read the transcript.

Not outraged at all.

In fact, I agree with the approach.

Maybe that makes me outrageous...or even deplorable.

Well, “outrageous”(?) to one person would probably get an “atta-boy’ from another person. Ones own perspective don’t mean squat in this case. Well, actually it’s kinda like the agw BS we keep getting shoveled on us. No there there. Now, get back to doing your jobs.

Ignoring any truth that lets Trump look good has been the news media’s SOP since Trump became a candidate. Report it once in objectively neutral terms while drawing no conclusions and making no moral judgments. Then pretend it never happened and create fake outrage over the the latest accusation.

I guess regarding the ambassador who was dismissed they were absent when it was taught that the ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the president or perhaps they misunderstood that to mean they say forever. He was well within his right to say adios.

What’s outrageous is these Democrats attacking POTUS on Ukraine when it was the kenyan who did nothing while Putin stole Crimea, shot down an airliner, fired Russian artillery over the border into Ukraine (on video), rained rocket artillery on Ukrainians cities and invaded Eastern Ukraine with the regular Russian army.

The hubris here is breathtaking. If these Democrats really cared about Ukraine they would have done the same leaking when the kenyan was in his white hut.

none of that matters...she tells the truth in her prepared statement

Although I understand that I served at the pleasure of the President,...

End of discussion... .
