You know you are a little wacky!

How can losing the tariff INCREASE cost him anything when these folks in MI, IN, OH never benefited by them in the first place. How can you miss what you never had? They were aware of the benefit of the 25% and they will still have those, you are aware of that....right?

Correct, those here wanting to see China economically decimated are foolish.

This is no more than a business deal at a very high level but like all business deals the best ones are where both party’s come out with something positive.

It is just a very bad day. Believe me this doesn’t play well in the rust belt. They were expecting the tariff, so this very disappointing. The bottom line is that Trump is truly just another Republican President and not a change agent he tried to make us believe he is/was.

tariffs delayed as part of a ‘phase one’ agreement reached with China:

Mr. Trump, speaking from the Oval Office, said the two sides had reached a verbal “phase one” agreement that would take several weeks to write and could be signed by both sides in November.
The initial deal, which Mr. Trump said had been reached “in principle” would involve China buying $40 billion to $50 billion worth of American agricultural products, along with agreeing to guidelines on how it manages its currency. The agreement also includes some provisions on intellectual property, including forced technology transfer and would give American financial services firms more access to China’s market’

To turn the country around and stop de industrialization will take decades and will require a tariff. Look at it like this, Free Traitors™ had decades to rape and pillage the US economy so give patriots/nationalists the same amount of time.

It may indeed sell off a bit next week or not and either way no one has info now and even a rumor could cause a sharp move either way. Short sellers are famous for floating bad news to drive stocks down for their benefit.

Trump is not going to quit negotiating. One step at a time.

China buying $40 billion to $50 billion worth of American agricultural products

That's the problem. Trump is once again, like all Republicans, kowtowing to big ag and China throwing the rust belt under the bus.

The tariffs scheduled to start on Tuesday have been turned off. That is all your Chinese buddies wanted, they got what they wanted. They are all laughing at the stupid greedy Americans, once again.

You are either a troll or insane. You gloom and doom constantly without anything to substantiate your position.

So Trump will lose next year because he DIDN’T increase tariffs on certain goods by 5% (while maintaining what were imposed previously) but DID get the Chinese to increase their AG purchases by multiple billions of dollars.

Try again to explain how this HURTS anyone and how or why it changes even one vote rather than actually increases those who vote for him.

Trump did not say “The tariffs were off” what he said was the proposed 5% INCREASE of the tariffs was off.

Big difference.

Try and pay attention.

LOL, how the hell do you know what the Chinese wanted? Do the WANT the 25% tariff to remain? Did they WANT to increase their Agric buys by multiple billions of dollars?

Show me the score card. What EXACTLY have we lost and gained and what EXACTLY has China lost and gained.

Seems pretty cut and dried to me.
