South Viet Nam discovered the same thing about the US and its Congress in 1975. We left them holding the bag and allowed the North Vietnamese to run amok over the South.

***And he appeared unmoved by international concerns that a power vacuum will favor an ISIS resurgence and a Kurdish slaughter.***

Uhn, huh...

Nothing stopping you crom exercising your morality and sending your young men to die in aid to your moral imperative, which is always contrived anyway and more than a bit uttered with equivocation and qualification

Because you just have to have it both ways.

You have been driving down the middle of the road for over a century and there is eventually going to be a pretty serious and deadly wreck...

There is NO “new” Flimsey Grahamnesty.

He is still the same McCainiac that wants us involved in every war everywhere and he still wants to give the Democrats a permanent majority with amnesty for illegal aliens.

The President is absolutely correct. And whoever ordered the troops out of the protection ring in Syria.... ARE THE SAME people who GHWBush listened to!

The Turks (who are Sunni muzzies, and NOT loyal Nato members, flirting with the russkies, and the lunacy of Erdogan... who garners and lifts his sagging internal numbers in turkey by moving on the “bugaboo” Kurds... the Kurds who did MOST Of the removing of the ISIS Syrian “rebels” (ie. the SAME ISIS army the US/McCain/Clinton/obamaumao CREATED with their Benghazi gun running operation.. to the “moderate rebels” WHO WERE AND ARE alQaeda/ISIS (never forget obamamaumao always called the ISIL... the L for the “Levant”— the old word for..Turkey!”).
So now we have the Bolton leftovers, Graham (who is implicated in some fashion with his mil-industrial pals of perpetual war and arms shipments— implicated and held hostage until McCain died— with the Benghazi shipments. Flippity Floppety Linda Graham— now firing off against trump, and also on the FISA warrant Deep State crap he MUST be exposable on— he’s up for re-election too) all to these clowns trying to perpetuate the Middle East wars— not letting the Saudis come down hard on Turkey and HELP the Kurds. Oh no— we have to be there 18 years like Afghanistan, perpetuating the British “hand-off” of utter failure.. to the US.

Just a view— what say y’all? We are getting closer to the IG FISA report FWIW— and the intel people have gotten a look for “redaction” to Protect their own a@@es, and are ramping up to hysterical levels... the media siren SONGS of propaganda against Trump on every level-— as the Ukraine comes out clearly (under Poroshenko.. the Russian former puppet Pres and his lackeys) as the “CUTOUT” for the Dossier creation, the MONEY laundering (to Biden, especially to Clinton— and likely the laundry where the missing State Department BILLIONS, unaccounted for—went. Went to Ukraine for “kicking back” to the Clinton Foundation and any other political op they needed, including the a@@ clowns at see eye eh and the Muzzie convert chief there— John Brennan. Evil personified, and operating inside the US!!).

No one knows what is going on here. What does, “The US will remove it’s troops from the immediate area”.

What is “the immediate area”. Will they still maintain a nearby presence, ready to re engage if it becomes necessary. Will we still be supplying the Kurd’s with weapons? What about advisers?

I always believed the Kurd’s are ferocious fighters and can well take care of themselves.

If any watched closely the war in Syria ...the area in Syria was taken over by the Kurds....it was NOT theirs to begin with.... They were just hoping they could claim it.

President Trump is doing the right thing...the Kurds are in three different countries...
America has done much to weaken ISIS, it is time for Iraq, Iran, Syria , and Turkey to finish the job.

It is not a dishonor for America to pass the baton back to the rightful owners/tribes...Good on you President Trump for seeing the 'light'.

Shame on you Senator Graham for not standing with our POTUS. Look for those who are benefiting by this endless war, the Deep State military-industrial complex, to loudly protest using words like Graham did...America's honor. Plaaaaat! to that...bring our warriors home, they have done enough

The Kurds grabbed a whole bunch of land along the northern frontier of Syria. Their hold on it was always tentative and dependent on US support. Further east in Syria and into northern Iraq, the Kurds have much better footing and a case for holding that territory.

Erdogan might make this little stab into Syrian turf, but he won’t be permitted to venture very far, and the condition of the Turkish economy can’t endure a prolonged military campaign.

In the big picture, it has not done the US any good to poke its nose into middle eastern tribal grudges 1500 years old.

I’m willing to bet that Graham is part and parcel of the ongoing coup attempt. I’m also sure that there are numerous other “republicans” involved as well, not just Mitt Romney.

Donald Trump issued a stern defense on Monday of his decision to withdraw American forces from parts of northern Syria, a move that will make way for a Turkish invasion in the region and likely doom the Kurdish fighters who the U.S. has been aiding for years.

So the U.S. "withdraws," and the Turks will "invade."

At no time in the last ten years have I seen any reference to the U.S. military action in Syria as an INVASION ... even though that's exactly what it was.

‘WE WILL FIGHT WHERE IT IS TO OUR BENEFIT, AND ONLY FIGHT TO WIN.
He’s right most of the tribes want others to do the work for them they have played the scam to long.
They can’t get anything right for a thousand years.

How are the Kurds our "allies"? We have no interests whatsoever in Syria, so there is nothing the Kurds can help us to achieve. How are we "betraying" them by not being their Daddy for the next 100 years, at pain of blood and treasure? Aren't there other groups around the world "worth fighting for" who we could also waste billions on? Where does it end? This is what both Washington and Eisenhower warned us against.

My family is not threatened at all by anyone in Syria, including ISIS fighters. But they are certainly threatened by illegal alien rapists, drunk drivers and identity thieves, and MS-13 animals.
