The propaganda, surveillance, and censorship of Big Brother in George Orwell’s novel “1984” has now arrived in New York.
The city’s Commission on Human Rights recently released new legal enforcement (...Discrimination on the Basis ofImmigration Status and National Origin) guidelines that ban the use of the term “illegal alien” by employers, housing providers (including hotels), and law enforcement as “discriminatory.” Violators can be punished with exorbitant and punitive fines—up to $250,000 per offense.
In other words, the city will now censor and penalize anyone for using the correct legal term that has been used in both federal immigration law and numerous court decisions, including by the Supreme Court.

How do they feel about “illegal immigrant”? Soon...that will be actionable too. Then the word illegal will mean nothing. Hmmf...as if it means anything today.
In europe these things started with small fines, then bigger fines, then imprisonment, and people being killed in jail.

I for one knew how bad it was. My late father knew 20 years ago how bad it was and he said so then. Even further back than that he predicted the the illegal border situation to be exactly as it is now.
One area which we disagreed at that time was Jimmy Carter. He do not like Jimmy and he said he was a horrible president. But he did feel that Jimmy was a good Christian man who was just way out of his League. I disagreed on that then and I still do. Oh well, Jimmy isn’t going to be around much longer, and when he goes we will be subjected to crocodile tears, wailing, and rending of garments until we feel the need to vomit.
OK, then instead of using the term, “illegal alien” use the word, “wetback.”
How about "foreign invader?" "Unlawful non-citizen?" "Border-violator?" "Criminal fugitive?"
Did they really enumerate and illegalize all of the many permutations that could be applied?

Couldn’t any half-awake lawyer contest that ruling if someone sued about it? I’m pretty sure that restriction on speech is not legal. I’m guessing the New York Dems think there will be no strong or sustained opposition, so they’ll just keep bulldozing the constitution as needed. I do hope that they are wrong.
I call them trespassers and foreign insurgents.
