Ukraine’s Prosecutor General said on Friday that his office is reviewing all the cases that were closed by his predecessors, including several related to the owner of a gas company where former Vice President Joe Biden’s son sat on the board.

Ruslan Ryaboshapka’s comments came amid an impeachment inquiry against U.S. President Donald Trump that relates to a call he made to the Ukrainian president asking him to investigate the Democratic presidential candidate and his son’s work in Ukraine.

Ryaboshapka told reporters in Kyiv that prosecutors are auditing all the cases that were closed or dismissed by former prosecutors, including several related to Mykola Zlochevsky, owner of the gas company Burisma that hired Hunter Biden in 2014, at the same time his father was leading the Obama administration’s diplomatic dealings with Kyiv.

The Senate has become our very own House of Lords.

My Revolutionary War era ancestors would have been going for the tar and feathers by now.

Note the odd headline wording:

"Ukraine reviews case into company that employed Biden son"

Nobody writes 'case into.'

10 bucks says it was originally 'investigation into' and the lefty headline editor thought he'd soften it up a bit.

I am betting that everything going on has ties back to the Clinton Foundation.

Personally, I think that 'corruption' charges won't go anywhere. I'm never surprised when it's found that someone benefited from cronyism or influence by someone in a position of power. Sure, it seems fishy to give someone without experience or expertise a job, simply because of a relationship to a 'VIP'. (Or, more appropriately -- a VP...)

But, let's pretend that Hunter Biden's sweetheart deal was within the range of acceptable activity, despite smelling like a wet gym shoe. To me, the serious issue is Sleepy Joe's leveraging American tax $ to twist the arm of gov't officials in a foreign country.

How anyone cannot view this as an abuse of power is beyond me.

This is starting to smell of a massive money laundering scam. What are the odds of all these people just coincidentally having business dealings in the Ukraine? Sure does seem to be a popular destination for the politically connected. How many people do you know that have been to the Ukraine? I hear it’s nice this time of year.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

As President I have an obligation to end CORRUPTION, even if that means requesting the help of a foreign country or countries. It is done all the time. This has NOTHING to do with politics or a political campaign against the Bidens. This does have to do with their corruption!

For the record, what are the crimes for which Hunter Biden is accused?

Hunter was payed for doing a job. There is no evidence he committed any crime punishable under the foreign corrupt practices laws. It is doubtful Hunter can be tried for vioation of Ukranian law even if charges are actually brought.

IMHO, Soros funded cover up in works.

I wouldn't bet against that. Corruption in Ukraine runs deep. Even when they appear to be on your side, they're not.

No of course I’m not defending the Bidens. Your thoughts are very superficial.

I notice you did not provide the laws that were broken and for which there could be an American indictment.

Neither of the issues you raised are relevant. The company hired and then payed Hunter. That is the companies business and decision.

In the corruption game, Hunter is the cut out. He did no wrong. His father made or condoned actions by the US Government that can not be tied to the employment of his son. The father received no renumeration for his actions. Neither can be indicted or tried under US law.

Use of a cut out is a large interstate highway around the briar patch that is the foreign corrupt practices act.

Pelosi has been called out. What goods are available on Barack Obama? Who or what entity was his cut out?

Then there is the mother of all cutouts....... the Clinton Foundation

Was his salary for a job done or for influence. Paying for influence is illegal. It is corruption and against Ukraine’s laws as well as the USA law.
