Democrats use the power of their office to give money in return for votes. They take money from those who work, and give it to those who don’t, and who vote democrat.

If you promise free things, the public is too stupid to know the truth, and votes for you.

Trump doesn’t give anything free, and lets people keep more of the money they earn. He gets infinite amounts of hatred for that.

The problem is that they vote for the same liberal politicians that turned California into a shithole.

“According to recently released data from the US Census, about 38,000 more people left California than entered it in 2018. This is the second straight year that migration to the state was negative, and it’s a trend that is speeding up. Every year since 2014, net migration has fallen.”

With the speeding up of the disappearance of actual citizens in the state, at some point in the future the illegals are going to supply enough “voters” to back their own candidate. And when an illegal gets in control of California’s economy and raw materials, depleted as they are, it is going to create a real problem nationally. And then we all will have to put up with trying to deal with a rogue state.

And if you don’t think it can happen, then ask how and why the civil war happened or even the westward migration of the original settlers. They didn’t like the status quo so they went somewhere and changed it. Anything from gold, to better land, religious freedom, and the privilege of having your say in your life, all were factors. There is a comparison.

Trump could collapse California if he curtailed federal welfare funds.

I'm in IT. Most of my earlier life was spent east of the Rockies, in places like Illinois, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. Before taxes and housing costs made life unbearable in those states.

I took a job in Riverside CA. That's where I damaged my lungs, according to my pulmonologist. And watched the neighborhood morph to foreign-born in the short time I was there.

That didn't last long; fled to northern Nevada, where I've been ever since. Now on 24-hour oxygen therapy, working from home (at my employers request, I might add, before the therapy started), watching Clark County going further blue toward ultraviolet.

This in spite of a number of Cali people trying to entice me to leave the Silver State and go into the Golden State. My answer:

No.

The Californicators created a huge problem by electing the boneheads in their legislature and the complete d1ckhead in the governor’s mansion and the communist attorney general. Now rather than fix the problem they created by voting the b@st@rds out. They are fleeing a problem they created. I wish they would flee north to Oregon or Washington or west to New Mexico. Unfortunately, they are fleeing to Arizona and Texas where they will Californicate those states.

Bad news for civilization. Ask Oregon how they like their swarm of kalifornians. Ask Washington the same. Ditto Kolorado. Austin. Tulsa.

There are some decent people in kali. They both live in the valley.

Different FReepers may have different circumstances but I personally am going to stay and fight. I’ve lived in California my whole life, darned if I’m going to let some Bay Area moonbats chase me out of my own home. It just feels like cowardice for a healthy young person like me to flee when my Boomer parents are riding it out. Again, different FReepers have different circumstances so I’m not judging those who choose to leave.

We tell the Central Americans to stay and fix their own countries. I don’t see how this is any different. I intend to change California from within or, if I cannot succeed at doing that, to go down with the ship bravely.

Of course the illegals are leaving California...The California Gov. leaders know they can’t afford to live there, it’s just a transit state so they move on to other sanctuary and welfare city states.

If you look at the Catholic charities and groups assisting the illegals they never send the illegals to California from other states they enter.

Thank (blame) “Ronaldus Magnus”:

He willingly created the de facto institution of Amnesty, forever setting the precedent for UniParty surrender on border control, and so abandoned his adopted state of California - which gave him two terms as Governor, and two terms as President - to communist one-party rule; he also betrayed every legal immigrant, past and present.

In a temporal (not eternal) sense, I will never forgive him for that - and, yes, I was utterly dismayed at the time (1986).

I've got conservative family in California. Could it be their reverse mortgage is the reason they're staying?

(I told them reverse mortgages were not for them, and don't want to ask directly).
